Hello, the featued banner is in the geodirectory folder, inside geodirectory-assets/images.
What you can do is to edit the image to what you like, and then move it inside the child theme, and adding this to your style.css inside your child theme folderul li .geodir_featured_img { background: url(nameofyourimage.png) no-repeat !important; }
So in this way your modification will be preserved in the future releases
You’re welcome.
Hi, could you post url and login details in a private reply please?
Are all of your GD plugins up-to-date?
You can change the category name going into the category section under the post type (e.g. Place Category), in the left hand side of wordpress.
You can translate that label by going into the post type settings (e.g. Place Settings), expanding the Special Offer field and setting a different Frontend title
copying the .po/.mo files inside wp-content/languages/geodirectory should work, have you tried to delete the cache in your browser?
Hello Dan, it is simpler than expected. You can change it using the .po file inside your geodirectory folder.
Use this guide here, it works also for a rephrase of a string, not only for a translation.
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/translate-core/Hi Alejandro,
if you mean adding the “Change location” in the menu, first you need to create a menu in WordPress (Appearance/MEnu) then go to Geodirectory/Design and then in the navigation tab you will find “Show geodirectory navigation in selected menu locations”, select your menu. After that, go to the Multilocation settings and enable “Show location switcher in menu”
If you mean the slug, for example, yourdomain.com/name-of-your-business please be sure to set /%postname% in your wordpress settings/permalinks.
Hi Paolo, I actually see both of your websites broken. See attach.
edit: now I see them, we’ll get back at you with a solution soon.
You can see the near me button in the demo site, it is a compass icon inside the Near field. This is included in the Advanced Search addon, the GD plugin has a standalone “Near Me” widget, it is a button and you can place it where you want.
Hello Sam, GD works well with 4.1.1.
First update GeoDirectory, then the add ons.
Since you’re coming from an old version, remember to run the GD Tools, especially the part for the DB conversion.Hi, what you mean next to the favicon? The favicon is the icon you see in the address bar 🙂
Hello Cory, yes, please post url and login details in a private reply, thanks.
