    Wow, that was fast.
I’m using Tubepress Pro for all our training videos, I can’t believe I forgot I just have to put a short code in a text box.

    Thanks again,

The new core update fixed the horizontal size but the vertical size needs to be greater so the video looks proportional, how would I change this? Or can I.

Sorry, still having problems with the character count in ‘gd bottom listing’. I now have your new AVADA child theme installed and I believe I placed the file correctly in the style.css file.

I have the character count set for 2000 and it’s not even close to showing the full text.Am I doing something wrong?

Just thought I would add a little feedback, We changed over to the new Avada child theme without issue, other than losing our menu’s, and widgets. We were not using the original child theme because we were waiting for the GD version.

Thanks for clearing that up Paolo. Since I’m only thinking about signing up new members for our association, I forgot that we would have clients leaving feedback/reviews for our members.

I have installed Buddypress, after doing a little experimentation, it does look like I can configure a slightly extended profile for the initial registration using BUddyPress, then direct the new user (using are pricing table) to go to the particular Custom post-type that they select and add their listing.

Then I can create a page dedicated to the Buddypress members, groups, etc that
also has a GD desktop to view there listings, add events and so on.

The problem is, I would have to have Buddypress as the registration page, and the GD Login as the sign in page.

Is this the right way to do it or am I looking at it wrong?

When Buddypress is integrated into GD will this solve my problem or will the
    integration be mainly for styling.

Thanks, this is the last hump I have to get over before I send it to someone to make it look pretty.

    Thanks,

Thanks for making this clear. I think I’ll just stick with the Avada Home page that I’ve created and add a sidebar with a few GD widgets for now.

Thanks, I thought that might be the case. If I select ‘Set Geodirectory home page
as your home’ and select ‘ show the top, right and content sections of the home page, will this now allow GD to use widgets on the home page or is it stopped by
the Avada template because I’m not using the GD theme?

    Thanks,

Thanks for the reply Guust, but that wasn’t an option.
I was hoping there was another way.

Can I solve the problem by using GD as the front page? It looks like it keeps my menu’s in place but eliminates the bottom content.

Is there a name given to the GD Front page? Maybe I can still use Avada’s
shortcodes if I do it that way.

It would be great if I could somehow just insert some of the GD widgets in the middle of my front page and leave my current content in place.

    Thanks,

@Vikas, This is the other post I was referring to about the character length not being correct. And now, is affected by any change in Details>lising word count even though the widget is set for a large # of characters.

Well, the description length works regarding the ‘read more’ coming after the
correct number selected in ‘Design>Listings. When i chose 10 words it shows ten words, etc.

But, The character length problem in using the GD popular post view in The GD bottom listing area is affected.I have another post concerning a problem where the character length is not correct using this GD popular post view.(Before this word count fix today) I have the character count set at 500, yet it shows about 10 words. If I change it to 800 Characters it shows about 30 words.

If I change the word count (that you just successfully fixed) in the details>listing area, It changes the word count/ Characters in the GD Popular post.

    Thanks,
