Hello,
No problem. I could only ask 😉
Thanks for the advice!
Perfect! it worked.
since I’m asking questions…
1. is it also possible to only show the profile picture (and let the user change it) but not the banner. (to limit the upload of the images on my site. And )
2. On the website when someone has made a comment/review. I can see his picture. But when I click on the name of that person, I don’t see the picture in his profile. It is just the basic white figure on grey background.
3. Can you add a button like the ‘change password’ button and ‘log out’ button, but for editing profile. I know you can do it now by clicking on your name, but a button that says for example ‘edit profile’ is more clear to the users. and also 1 for ‘my overview’ (–> where you can see your reviews, favorites,…)
4. When I’m in my overview and click on the cog wheel I can edit my account. But there is no link to go back to the overview
5. Is there an easy/correct way to remove the privacy link on the ‘edit account’ page. This isn’t necessary on my website because the listing page isn’t visible/accessible for the users. I can hide it of course with CSS. But maybe there is a better way?
6. On the edit account can a link to change password be added? (if possible to let it act the same way as the privacy link. When you click it, it changes to ‘edit profile’)
Sorry for all the questions. Most of the things I mention here are not ‘need the haves’ but rather ‘nice to haves’ 😉
Hello,
Thank you. I think it worked! 🙂
Maybe one more question. Where can a user change his password when he is logged in? I’m not able to find the link anywhere in his profile or edit account or the privacy part. Am I missing something?
Thanks

Warning message: Can this be turned off completely? I don’t want users to see this message.

I even think it fits better than buddypress. There are only 2 things that I think are missing.
1. I installed “Social Login”. In the settings I enabled this: “Yes, display the social network buttons below the login form (Default)” When I tested with and without buddypress, this worked. (see image) Also in the ‘My account’ drop down, the buttons show up. (image)
But with UsersWP this isn’t the case.2. Previously, with the ‘Social Login’ when a user registerd with Facebook. His Facebook profile picture was used for his account. Now with UsersWP this image is removed.
Did I miss a setting somewhere for any of the above?
Thanks

Hello,
I just wanted to let you know that the code you provide for #1 solved the problem for the homepage. But on the add listing or add event page the map disappeared. So I changed it to the following. For as far as I can see #1 is solved and the maps on the add pages are still visible. (Does this code have any effect anywhere else?)
.geodir-map-home-page{ z-index: -1!important; }
Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
numbers 1, 3 and 4 are fixed now. (fixing number 3 also fixed number 4!)In #2 I mean the search on the frontpage. There you have a dropdown where you can swithc between places and events (now translated to dutch –> Winkels en markten (=stores and markets) and Beurzen en evenementen (=faires and events). When I select the second option the buttons with the magnifying glass and the cog wheel are placed underneath the fields. Can this be done for the first option as well?
Speaking of editing… is the following possible:
– anyone can add a place
– only Admin and approved owner (claimed) are able to edit
– all the other user can for example suggest a change. This has to be approved by the confirmed owner of the Admin. But if you are not the author and not the Admin. And you see your store on the website. And you claim it and it is approved. Than i don’t think the author should still be able to edit the place? (The Admin ok, but not a random person who posted the listing.)
And if your claim is first approved and later removed, I don’t think you should still be able to edit the place. (Maybe you no longer OWN the place?)User A (this was the Admin) made the listing. Since it was just a quick test to see the possibilities of the listing claim, no e-mail adres was filled in.
I don’t use automatic claim.
