Yes, I rolled back to the prior version of GD so my events would work.
Who is my “server admin”?
This sounds like I’ll never be able to use or update GD again.
I have no idea what you’re talking about with regards to SSL – it’s not something I installed, and even if I did, it would not have been before 2014.
But I uninstalled GD Events, and uploaded the new version. Now I have no events. All 404 errors.
Can you please fix this? Or should I just revert to the prior versions of GD and Events, which at least partially worked.
Tried adding the license keys from the download page here:

So that doesn’t show up in the WP dashboard as a plugin that needs updating?
I updated everything that WP said needed updating through admin. (do NOT update any other plugins on my site, so must be updated manually). If there was something else I was supposed to do to update GD, I wasn’t aware.

This is crazy. Why on earth would you do it this way? Best practice is to redirect all attachment posts to the main URL anyway. That’s why Yoast offers it as an option. It’s what anyone with basic SEO knowledge does.
I need access to the media library for my listings. There are 1000s of images already in there I plan to use. Are you telling me I now how to find those images, download them, and reupload them as duplicates? And that’s the better solution? That’s crazy.
FYI – Edit Listing and Upgrade Listing still don’t work on my site anywhere. I’ve asked for help with this in at least 3 other threads that are still open. Regardless, I do all my editing from the admin screen.

Thanks, yes. That seemed to work.
It makes no sense to me, that if you choose “Link Business and Fill in Business Details – that it copies all the information for the Business into the Event title and Description? It should populate the address…but when would a business title and description be the same as the Event Title and Description?
And I’m assuming on the author of the Place gets the option to link the business, right? That my users don’t get access to my content?
