Hi Kor
Yes I’ve seen that and as you can see the default is set to 5 but we want to have the max set at say 15 miles as it’s primarily GeoLocation run on the go.
The reason being is that we want to run it primarily by geolocation and therefore people aren’t looking to look up to 200 miles away so there is at least 150 unnecessary miles on the slider that are not required it and reducing it would give more control in usability.
Legends.
Sorry – the other problem we have is that members are unable to add a particular CPT. It is available for one but not another… Any reason why?
Ok great – yes we are all set for brute force but there’s always more that can be done 😉
Cheers Paolo
Yes that was definitely the problem – cheers again.
Strange… we had added a listing but it wasn’t working and was redirecting to the index page. I can see it is resolved now so many thanks for looking into!
Will take a look at general_functions file but thought there were only custom hooks in there. Will definitely check it out as we want to make sure everything not customised is updated to latest version moving forward!
Thanks Guust.
What I mean is that, because I can see it is a WordPress site from the source code, if I go to http://www.domain.com/wp-admin I would be able to attempt to hack. I have tried using ‘protect-wp-admin’ (https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/protect-wp-admin/) but this interferes with user registration and login for Geodirectory and WooCommerce and it creates a constant redirect which breaks access.
I’ve thought whether it could be controlled by restrict of IP but not found a method which protects admin as well as allowing access to users on frontend.

Do you think there is any method then that this could be filtered down to current country location then as opposed to GeoLocation? Almost like how it would operate on eCommerce for setting the currency and prices?

Not sure whether completely understood…
So, a visitor has never ever been to the site. They go to the home page. The home page has a widget section displaying featured listings. Without the visitor pressing a single checkbox/link etc, I want them to see just those featured listings within a 5 mile radius from their current location.
Is that possible?
