Solved it! The page width was not set to 100% width.
Sorry about that and thanks for your kind help.
When I set the map width to 100% it actually gets even smaller than the default setting. I’ve also tried setting it to 1440px, which makes the map wide enough for 100% width, but there is a padding or something in the left it seems. Please see the attached screen dumps.
I also tried putting the text box with the shortcode into a full width container, and then tried to add some -px to move it more towards the left when in 1440px width, but I can’t seem to move it.
I named widgets on page sidebar “GD Map Homepage” – that explains the shortcode..
Thanks Simone! I’ve added only one widget to the Widgets on Page sidebar, and then I added this code on the page:
[widgets_on_pages id=”GD Map Homepage”]
Can I add it directly in the shortcode or do I need to add it by CSS? 🙂

I’ve put in the GD Map Homepage widget into my custom homepage using the plugin Simone recommended, though I can’t set it to full width. Any ideas on this?Thx! 🙂

Oh yes you are right! I might have overlooked it, since I thought it would appear inside the box like when claimed. Sorry about that – and thank you so much for your help 🙂

Nice, no error now – so far so good 😀 But when I press a listing it does not show the author of it anywhere in the sidebar…
The error is: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /var/www/openmindtrips.org/public_html/plus/wp-content/themes/geodir_Avada-Child-Theme/functions.php on line 41
