That was a big help, but I’m still having some trouble with it. Inside the location changer, the search dropdown is all messed up. It’s narrowed down to only a few pixels. I’m struggling to figure what the CSS issue is with the theme, but can’t seem to figure it out.
I can’t keep it on the screen long enough to get a screen shot to show you the problem, but you’ll see it. Can you help me out with this last bit too?
Actually, I think you can disregard this. I had some sort of caching issue. For some reason, the site was loading extremely slowly for me and I cleared my browser cache, which fixed the slow loading and also fixed whatever was preventing the user from being able to add a location.
That all seems to work fine now. Not sure why it didn’t work before, either way. You can mark this as resolved.
No, I think I may not be making myself clear. I want user to be able to add new cities and regions. It looks like they can when adding a listing on your demo site, but on my site, the behavior is different. On my site, when typing a new city or region into the field, the field returns, “Nothing found”. I want them to be able to add a new location area.
I’ll post a link with login details for you….
I looked at the demo site and saw that the dropdown allows users to add new locations, but on my site, when I start typing a location into that field that doesn’t exist in the database, it simply returns, “Sorry, nothing found!”
Why am I seeing different behavior than the demo site? Is this a settings configuration issue I haven’t seen yet?
This is resolved. I didn’t understand that the Multilocations addon was needed to make the directory larger scale. Have now subscribed.
