Paolo,
That did it! Thank you so much !!!!!
I hope you have a great weekend
Paolo,
Yes, I had tried that. I used firebug and it will change it within the firebug environment however it does not when you include in css. I was puzzled by this and figured there must be something overriding it somewhere.Paolo,
I just did remove the widgets in the fourth. Thanks for helping!Paolo,
Thanks for your response. Yes, there are 4 there now but I wanted to remove the 4th one. It appears they occupy 25% Of the width not. I wanted to leave the first three and distribute them 33% each if that is possible. I have tried to various things but they have not worked yet.Thank you, I did just as you said about the map and it worked perfectly.
I Have tied to remove Sidebar Footer 4 and use only 1-3 and divide the width of the remaining three equally. Is there a way to do this? I have been unable to find any documentation on this. Thanks
I have fixed the address of the listings that should have removed the Indianapolis Indiana address but is uploading appears not to work. Every time I have tried since installing GD, when I click on the file to select it gives no message, no alert, no confirmation. I made no other revisions other than correcting the region and city.
Any ideas?
I have installed the plugin, I exported the data once again, inspected it in OpenOffice and I am perplexed by what I see. There are 1900 places in the data that I exported while when I look in Places there are ~2150 places and when I go directly into ….geodir_gd_place_detail table I have ~2200 places.
Also, almost all places appear to have images on the website, however less than 500 do in the exported data and the ….geodir_gd_place_detail table has images in featured_image in most all places.
Also, when I do a search for Lease Purchase category on the site, I get 17 listings, Popular Categories show 17 however the exported data only show 2.
Even when I have the website open, there are approximately 2150 places listed rather than the 1900 in the export data.
It still appears the data is not exporting correctly so if I correct the post_city and post_region in the exported data, it appears it does not correct all of it.
What am I missing, I do not understand.
Ok, there is a big problem, almost all my listings in Places show the Location (ID) as United States-Indiana-Indianapolis, however the location pins are spread throughout the US like they should be according to the address. This does not make sense.
Thank you very much, I will try to watch closer. the problem was the conversion made massive errors and I spent about 8 hr cleaning it up. Must have missed one of the many.
Never mind, I see you may have disabled the OTR and regional categories.
Guust,
I followed your advice and edited what I thought could be the problem in openoffice. The pins are finally there. Thanks.I was not going to modify in the database but I wanted to know why I could not add a new listing and it show first before I modify with the i/o function.
Is there a way I can disable OTR and Regional or must I export => remove => import to make that work until I find the listing?
Guust,
Before I spend many more hours modifying another table, I do not understand why with 2100+ listings and some already showing on other maps why nothing shows on the home map. Furthermore I have added new listings as a test and they do not show, why would this be?Guust,
When I converted from GT to GD, the locations were not converted correctly so I noticed that the …gd_place_detail table [],[],[] did not have the [city],[state],[country] completed in the post_locations field nor did the post_zip, post_city, post_region or post_country contain necessary data. The post_address had some corrupted data in it so I cleaned these fields and included the data necessary. My experience with a former conversion fixed the problem with not showing the location pins on the home map however the pins in this case are not showing. Some locations (not all) show on other maps but not the home map.
I noticed that in the WordPress dashboard Places view that the Location(ID) column contains –(2) for each Location(ID).
My question is, what could I be missing that would prevent the locations from showing? I have 2151 locations so I am seeking the least painful, bone chilling solution possible since it took about 6 hr to clean up the info I have found to be a problem thus far.
By the way, I do like the simplification of the data storage you have used on GD vs GT.Once again, thank you for your help again.
Guust,
Hello once again.
I had finally got the site looking correctly with the GD Home pages set as the static page. When I first start up the site it has the GD Home page however when I navigate to another page and come back it defaults back to Home page and is formatted differently. What could be causing this. I have set the default in the settings and also customizing bar on the right side of the page but the same condition occurs. The static page stays set at GD Home page but does not display it.Thanks,
