Paolo and Guust,
Thanks… I only see the post_author column and not a claimed column.
So if I need to add this Claimed Column can you give me instructions on how to do that please?
This is something that you added to the Supreme Theme where it shows “Claim Me” if it is not claimed.
The issue I am having is that I uploaded via WP all Import some listings and they show me as the owner of the listing and I would prefer it say “Claim Me”.
It doesn’t look like I can just edit those listings and change it to “UnClaimed” (which would be very helpful and a feature I have in other WP Directory Themes).
Since I am just testing so far it would be easy for me to add a Claimed column to my CSV, assuming that option to map to that column is already in the import for GeoDirectory. But it would also be helpful to have the option to change this setting via admin when editing a Place listing.
Also can we add an image for the Claim Me profile image? see screenshot
I am using SendFox by AppSumo and so adding to Mailchimp is not useful. But most email software has a Zapier where if say using the example above when someone leaves a review they would be added to a mailing list.
Thanks.. but what can I do with the listings that I have already uploaded? Can I edit them in WP admin page edit? I am not seeing an option to mark them Claimed or Unclaimed when editing a Place? Seems like that would be an available default edit.
I am not sure I have the settings correct. Could you review my setup in the screenshots below to confirm please?
Hey I found it. Thanks…. on the General Tab under Developer
Good to know about the mailchimp but let me ask if there is a Zapier integration so that we can add to another email service available?
thanks.. that helps. Didn’t I see that you could turn these notifications off? if so where would I find that?
This reply has been marked as private. Thanks, I noticed also that GeoDirectory uses the 24 hour clock on the back end and my scraper & shortcode uses 12 hour time from Google.
Appreciate your reply.
I have been using a really excellent Google Maps scraper called Botsol and in looking at the hours of operation export from GeoDirectory it looks like I won’t be able to use the shortcodes from the csv download.
This is what Botsol gives me from Google7AM–2PM 7AM–2PM 7AM–2PM 7AM–2PM 7AM–2PM 7AM–2PM 8AM–1PM
in the form of a shortcode for each day {monday[1]}, {tuesday[1]}, {wednesday[1]}, etc
This is what GeoDirectory uses
[“Mo 07:00-14:00″,”Tu 07:00-14:00″,”We 07:00-14:00″,”Th 07:00-14:00″,”Fr 07:00-14:00″,”Sa 07:00-14:00″,”Su 08:00-13:00”],[“UTC”:”-7″]I would have to manually create each hours of operation for each business. Unless you have any other suggestions?
Would be really sweet if I could do it like this in WP All Import using their mapped shortcodes (see screenshot)
[“Mo {monday[1]}”,”Tu {tuesday[1]}”,”We {wednesday[1]}”, etcDo you think this might work?
This reply has been marked as private.Alex another question. The demo for Whoop does not have a map in the header like I am seeing in Whoop. Seems the demo has been modified?
Actually most of the demos are different than the Themes when I install them. I seem to have maps in the headers where they don’t. Speaking of the Genesis Themes. How do you remove the maps from the headers? and why are these so different than the demos?
Also no matter what theme I use the Maps are not working or showing map results on the Search pages.
Alex, Thanks much. That helps a lot.
1. “The map in the top left on the details page is a special feature of the whoop details page. You can change the page template to remove the header section.”
Thanks.. can you point me to instructions on how to remove the header section? are you talking editing the php?
2. “If you have set the maps api to auto, this can happen. Specifically the details page map attempts to load a google static map regardless of the api selected (static maps are a special class of map provided by google).”
I have looked in the site settings and searched the docs and forum but can’t seem to find the maps API setting “auto”…. where would I locate this setting? Ahh… finally found it in advanced settings. Tricky location. Got a lot to learn about GD.
I have just recently learned about the Google Static maps and think this can really help save some money with Google API so nice feature. Any other info on this?
3. I can’t figure out how to get a OSM api key and there is nothing in the support docs. Where do you get an OSM API key.
