Ahhhh, now when i close the browser and open a new browser window it works so thank you for that. But if the tab’s closed in Chrome and then I open another tab and go back to the site it zooms out to show the whole of the country like before. Do you know of anything that could fix that or if it’s possible with customisation? What would it be related to? Perhaps this seems a little pedantic however one of the main purposes of my site is so that people can see precisely which locations are that may be their street corner when they visit the homepage. I’m sure that most won’t always close the tab and then reopen a new tab to go back to the site again, plus people who have a laptop and/or smartphone will know to zoom in… although it’s not what I want site users to have to do, I would like their location with the little blue radar to just be right in front of them all the time showing nearby locations.
Just another question, apart from categorized listings what is the most significant map feature you developed that is different to what businesses registered on google maps can do? This will help me to make full use of any advantages it has over just a google map listing.

I wrote that it works on my mobile but not on my laptop and I have had an SSL installed since buying the domain and servers. I also have it set to remember my location.
Hi Guust,
thanks for your prompt reply.
I had the advanced search settings already set up to what you said and yes, when I set the GD home map to autozoom for the first time loading the page where it asks for permission, it does zoom in on the listings nearest to me, however if I then for example close the page and return back to it, the map on the homepage will only show a zoomed out map of the whole country and not zoomed in on listings near to me. Having said this, it doesn’t do this when I view it on my mobile. Only on my laptop. What are your thoughts?
thanks in advanceSome of them are something called “jscript”, is that the same? But if I can’t do it i’ll ask a developer.
OK, I think it’s referred to as “smooth scrolling”. I have found some sites that layout the code and tell me how to add the code. Can the code be added in the snippets section or does it need to be added in the theme theme editor part?

This reply has been marked as private.Hey,
If I put the search widget in the home top section it looks great and I can move it up easily however when I put the map home widget in the home content part it joins to the search box so that now the search and map widget are just a block of white space (see on home page as it is now). I need the map widget to sit below the body background image so that it’s separate from it. Are there any options I can use to do this or any code that can be used?
Many thanks,
RobGahhhh I wish I knew this before as I’ve now got rid of that slider and organised the other widgets in the home top sections, however they all display below the background image. Should the widgets not go over the background image?
thanks in advance -
