Hi Alex,
After you fixed the permalinks problem, I went to Settings > Permalinks and the “Post name” setting was checked so I used this setting after following your https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/permalinks/#404 doc but it didn’t work on my end.
Now, you are stating that you used the long and not-seo optimized “full location with category” for gd. I changed it to the “Default” gd option and it works. I also tested the “Custom base” option with the following tags and it works too: /%region%/%city%/%postname%/
I thank you for your help.

[gd_listings title=”Visit Local Microbreweries” post_type=”gd_place” sort_by=”az” title_tag=”h3″ layout=”3″ post_limit=”5″ add_location_filter=”1″ view_all_link=”1″ bottom_pagination=”1″]
and it works with layout=”3″.Also, the listing details page is still returning the following error after I changed the permalinks per the above docs instructions:
Not Found
This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?My listing page url is http://www.mysite.com/places/brew-them-now/
The custom structure is: mysite.com//%postname%/

My .csv is a listing of professionals in all cities and states in the USA.
The question refers to the region and city which are required fields in GD > Places > Add Place
I added 3 records to Places and 3 states and 3 cities are included, for example, Santa Monica, California. When I upload the .csv to GeoDirectory, the database be populated with the required region (USA) and all cities, correct? I’m asking because I had to manually enter the region and city in a separate page (not Places page) for each entry and I had to select a default region and city.
Awaiting a reply

OK, I am reading https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/custom/
So, in GD Settings > Custom Field Tabs, I add
fab fa-linkedin
but in the .csv file, I add a column with geo_linkedin as the heading, correct?
Hi,
Will I see the LinkedIn icon and link next to the Twitter and Facebook icons on the details page? If not, will you add the LinkedIn icon in a future release and make it optional?
Awaiting a reply
6. Can I add a geo_linkedin column to the .csv file that I will be uploading/importing to WP admin? I have a list of LinkedIn urls.
7. Do I need to add post_date before uploading or can I leave this column blank? Thanks
