oh, geez….
thanks
veeeerrrrry interesting theme
hadn’t come across this theme before, just might be able to use it
would this mean that:
1. the site would use the GoodNews “look” for all the GD listings, table of categories, sidebar things, and other stylying stuff?
the idea is to have a way to make all the GD content use the custom theme stylying
2. i noticed that the GoodNews theme includes a banner ad system (yeah!) – any idea if this banner ad system will work okay with the GD Booster Addon, cuz i hear that other caching plugins like WP Total Cache are not compatible with GD. in other words, how to make sure that the ads truly rotate without being cached even if the rest of the site is cached (cache rebuilt daily i guess)
3. would the overall approach to using this child be something like this:
A ) install wp
B ) install wpgeodirectory framework and addons (but not the GD theme)
C ) install GoodNews theme plus the GD-compatible GoodNews child theme
D ) have a party cuz my site will now be a killer site! :-)))in other words, the overall approach using a compatible child theme would be to use the GD Framework, not the GD theme (?)
4. would the native plugins and sliders and stuff from the GoodNews theme be able to access/use the GD data? for example, could i use the Layer Slider or the Revolution Slider to create, say, an events slider using the GD events plugin? (i know that GD has a slider too, but it is limited to just one such slider on a page, i might want to have on the homepage (1) an events slider and (2) a jobs slider – both created using the GD events manager addon
thanks
hmmm, but i could add a different slider widget, couldn’t i?
guess that would add a ton of code though

December 21, 2015 at 6:52 pm in reply to: Schema Type for Custom Post Type – what is schema type ? #64729thanks so much
i did find a Product schema on the schema.org site:
but i didn’t see it in the list of schema options when creating a GD category
no biggie, just curious
thanks
thanks
so far, my reinstall has been working i think pretty well, the theme i’ve been trying, Porto, can be installed one plugin at a time or with a mondo-sized full demo set of data, which is where i had the issue previously, but no news so far, if i hit it though, will report here
