    1.a) Some sites have thousands of cities.
    1.b) Because they are in order of proximity to the user.

    We use the user’s IP so the location can’t be switched OFF.
    If a directory only have USA cities then it will still show them in proximity to the user.

    Someone traveling might expect to enter a few letters of the city, we then autocomplete it and if selected it will be the first option when they reopen the search.

    We show in order of proximity to the user, this to us is the “most accurate information to the user” and to us it makes no sense to have it any other way, hence we don’t have an option for that. If we have many requests for this we may add it but yours is the first.

    The double results thing i could not replicate on our demo.

    The app has now been verified but there seems to still be a user limit on it, please give it a try now and let us know if it works ok for you.

    Thanks,

    You can limit it to a specific country using the country slug.
    [gd_locations what=”city” country=”united-states”]
    You can also remove any cities that no longer have listings in them from your location settings.

    You can disable location suggestions completely or you can hide the google suggestions list easily with CSS

    .gdlmls-more{display: none;}

    Yes it is a listed feature of the Location Manager

    Fallback proximity search. – If a search returns zero results from your location database, we will; Automatically geocode the search text; Provide lists of location suggestions from the Google API or OSM API; Let the user do a proximity search for that location. So even if a location is not in your database, you can still show listings nearest to the users’ search.

    – If there are no results then the user is prompted to add a listing.
    – If you always want results to show you can extend the search radius in settings.
    – You can disable location suggestions completely or you can hide this list easily with CSS

    .gdlmls-more{display: none;}

    Hi Christelle,

    The GD update has been pushed until tomorrow as we did not finish all testing today.

    The update will provide a new widget, so basically the way it will work is, in the listing you (or i will for you) add a custom field called soemthing like “woo_product_id” and then you can enter the product id, the new widget can then use the custom field to output a standard WooCommerce shortcode, like an add to cart button or a full product listing.

    Hi Christelle,

    I have created a new widget that will be in the next GeoDirectory release (later today). This widget will make it possible to add the buy button anywhere. I will wait until after this release before i take a look.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    OK, that is where the confusion was, you (with another account) had renewed that license of the other account. I have transferred that to you now, you should see the licenses in your account now.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
