This is due to the update check, and the old domain forwarding to this site now.
In functions.php please comment out these two lines:

add_action("admin_head", "checkForUpdates");
add_action("admin_head", "showNotifications");

That should stop it, let me know if it does not.

For some reason its trying to do both types of distance search when it should only be doing one.
If you can provide wp-admin and FTP details i will have a look.

Again, GD can do pretty much anything but i need to know exactly what you want to do so i can tell you how 🙂

When you add a custom field you can set if it can be used as a sort feature or a search feature, this will add it to the list that can be used to build these.

Your second request i don’t really understand, we have hooks and filters pretty much everywhere.
