A vote from me for anything like this, or anything to make the accommodation listings more searchable in their entirety generally would be very much appreciated, especially to be able to search by number of people, dates available etc, that would be amazing!
Yes thanks Paolo 🙂
Trying again
Thanks again for your help Simone
From my end, it looks like /dogfriendly is still showing just the word location on it. What I’m looking for is what used to appear here which was an overview of the entire directory. I’ve attached a screenshot of what it used to look like.
I just can’t find this page anywhere now?
I’m sorry Simone. I must be really stupid. I just keep going round in circles with this. The page when I looked just now was showing as a 404. Tried to set the location permalink as just any random page. That didn’t work. Tried to set it as location, that said it hadn’t worked ie still says pick a page, but the dogfriendly page now points to location again.
What is the actual url of the overall directory overview page these days? I’ll just use that.

Thanks, I ticked the location switcher box, but I can’t see any changes or an ‘Everywhere’ button. Is this a widget or something?
Thanks
Sally
Thanks for your help Simone.
Yes I can see the word location now at /dogfriendly. I just can’t find the page which is the general overview of the whole directory, which /dogfriendly used to show. Even if it’s at a new url, it would be good to be able to find it and I’ll just amend the link.
Also, in the permalink page, the location page is still not selected, do I just leave it as ‘select a page’?
Thanks
Sally

Hi Simone
Thanks, I must be really dim, I’m still lost with this.
http://www.thehouseofdog.co.uk/dogfriendly/ is now a 404 error instead of the location page. Do you know where the page went which was just the complete directory on one page as it used to be at that address? I’d like to put it back there if I can find it.
Do I need to edit this slug you mentioned above? or can I leave it as it is? I still can’t seem to set the location page to the location page in the permalink settings. It just remains as ‘select a page’…
Feel free to hit me over the head for my stupidness…
Hi, not sure if this topic has got lost in the masses, but I’m still struggling with this one.
I’ve deleted the newer location page and tried to use the old location page as the permalink setting, but it just fails to save each time and the page is still the same.
Could someone please check what I’m doing wrong? Is it me?
Thanks
Ah! That is much better! Thank you Simone! 🙂
Yes that’s true for this page, but on the dog friendly holiday cottages page, there are 2 pages, and in the accommodation category, there are 3. Plus, I hope to add many more, so eventually, there will be quite a few pages in each section 🙂
Thanks Simone,
Don’t think I’m explaining myself properly though. Even on the link you sent over, there will be a page 1 with a map of the listings from page 1, a page 2 with a map with just page 2’s listings in, page 3 with a page 3 map etc
What I really wanted was the map to be global for that category in its entirety, as in every listing from page 1, 2 and 3 and so on will all show on this same map which will appear on the right hand side on every page of that category.
If only page 1’s listings are shown on page 1, it looks as though I only have 9 items listed in that category, people are not able to zoom in on the map and have a look at what’s in the area they’re looking for without going to the individual page it’s listed on ie page 2 or page 3, so they may miss it, especially when they have to scroll to the bottom to find the link to page 2 or 3 and the link is so small…
