I will try to flow your advice but need a bit more instructions.

• about 1. problem (missing images)
Why shall I import the images again? I am using the WPML media module with this instruction. So no need to upload media files again.

• about 2. problem (categories in different languages import/export)
I have been using the WPML instructions for taxonomy translations by using the WPML > taxonomy translation then new categories with new id’s have been created. Find here the EN Event Categories and here the DE Event Categories versions.

Now using your developers instructions, I need advice in how to proceed further with my approach.

What do I have to do now, either
a. to delete all new (created with WPML taxonomy translations) translated categories within WP or
b. to add for all new created categories the missing images and icons, but how?
c. to use your import/export function to import the languages (which I would prefer) but how?

I think the problem which we are facing here is, that new categories with new ID’s have been created, instead of using same ID’s for translated versions.

Please advice how to proceed further. THANKS, Alex

Q How can a user deliver or add his translation to be used and connected to each different language approach?

Is the user requested for his different language approach
A. to purchase and add a different listing in EN and DE site and then is requested to inform us to connect the different listings to each other
or
B. to provide us with his translations to be added and connected to his existing listing as different language approach.

What will be your suggestion in how to establish that in an easy and proper way?

ok – but How and Where would you enable to connect the 2 postes together.

Would it work like

A. A listing customer would add his 1st listing in english (to pay for). Then he asks support for translation of his listing, submit his data in his own language to add a new listing from admin to connect to each other.
Q. How would the 2nd listing been made and how this then would be connected?

or

B. A listing customer would add his 1st listing in english (to pay for). Then he add a 2nd. listing (also pay for) in different language and want to connect the engl. and his 2nd. language one.
Q. How this would be connected?

Yes I looked into the database table “wp_geodir_custom_advance_search_fields” and found the fields.

– searching_range_mode ?
– first_search_value ?
– first_search_text ?
– last_search_text ?
– search_min_value ?

Also I checked the backend but do not know where the data is setup to write in the above stated fields. That is why I am asking – within the backend I cannot find the corresponding setup data fields to fill the data in the corresponding db table fields.

So the questions is, which fields in backend fill the the corresponding (above stated) dababase fields.
