Hi Alex,
That’s because I adjusted that Mamma Mia one in the backend admin.
This one: https://whatsonhub.co.uk/events/united-kingdom/west-yorkshire/trevor-noah-loud-clear-tour-2020/
.. is a real example and does not work when using the GD front end event submission form.
Thanks,
DaveHi Kiran,
Would it be possible to adjust this snippet you made, so that it includes Widget titles too?
The GD widgets I use on the home page would be much better for my SEO if they could have the %%in_location_single%% tags working in their titles too.
Thanks,
DaveHi Alex,
Sorry, only just seen your reply.
Vimeo is now working for some reason. When I was emailing you last week, it wasn’t.
But YouTube videos still don’t work. See this listing here:
https://whatsonhub.co.uk/events/united-kingdom/west-yorkshire/trevor-noah-loud-clear-tour-2020/I added a youtube.com url into the textfield on the frontend form, but after making the listing live, it’s only published the URL.
I did exactly the same for vimeo, and although it didn’t preview correctly before publishing, it was ok once live.

Can you help?
Thanks,
DaveHi again,
Please ignore last message. I’ve managed to find a solution for this.
However, you may wish to have a look at your third-level of sorting as it appears that’s what’s causing the problem.
I’ve now set the event category default sorting to just Featured > Event Date and it works fine.
If event date is the third tier, that’s when it doesn’t display events in the correct date order.
Thanks,
DaveHi guys,
Just having to reopen this as we’ve just seen that the sort order isn’t quite working on the archive/category pages.
The default sort order for event categories is:
Featured > Spotlight > Event Date
However, right now, after it’s show Featured events, then Spotlight events, it’s not sorting properly by event date…
https://whatsonhub.co.uk/events/category/live-music-gigs/united-kingdom/east-riding-of-yorkshire/
If you look at link above, at first it looks correct, but there are loads of events missing which should be there. This link is sorted by event date and shows the missing events…
On the default sort, many of the events which should be on page 1 (due to event date order) don’t appear until page 9 for some reason.
You’ll see that on page 9 link above, the first 2 rows go to December 2020, then on row 3 start again with the missing January 2020 events.
Can you please take a look again?
Much appreciated.
Dave
Hi Alex.
I looked at that article and it says YouTube is fully supported as long as it’s not a private video.
In the WP Admin panel it will automatically embed a YouTube video no problem. I thought that the Text Field editor on the front end is exactly the same. Are you sure it’s not supposed to embed the YouTube video in the front end form?
Also, it’s doing the same with Vimeo videos yet in that article, it’s also saying it’s supported.
Thanks,
DaveHi again, after thinking it was fixed, I’m afraid I’ve still got an issue now…
The video is now appearing when I add the YouTube URL in the back end. However, when users try to add it in using the front end form, it’s not working like this…
https://whatsonhub.co.uk/events/united-kingdom/east-riding-of-yorkshire/mamma-mia-33/
The field in the settings is set as a Text Field and has Embed Media URLs selected.
Thanks,
DaveThanks Alex, all sorted!
Dave
Just following up, I’ve now managed to fix it and get them appearing. Turns out it was some 0 padding I’d applied on the class for some reason. Can’t remember why, but either way, it’s showing again.
Thanks for your help.
Dave
Hi Alex,
That’s currently the setup I have. It’s now just a standard TextField with ‘Embed Media URLs’ selected.
In the admin panel, the video is showing just fine, but it won’t display on either the front end form or published listing.
Thanks,
DaveThis reply has been marked as private.Hi Alex,
Apologies, I thought I’d stated that I’d set it to published in the pricing manager settings (See attached).
After I submitted this support ticket, I did see in some documentation something about using WP Invoicing being able to automatically mark the order as ‘complete’.
If I could get WooCommerce to mark their order as complete, would that then auto-publish the listing?
Thanks,
DaveHi Kiran,
Once again, thanks for this. Works brilliantly!
Dave
Fantastic! Works great. Thanks for doing that.
Dave
Ok thanks for confirming.
I really like GD and delighted with your support. However, I’ve had several suggestions over the past 7 months or so since I’ve started using it and not one has ever happened so far. So I just feel like this latest request, despite being quite essential, will just not happen.
Do you publish a roadmap for your customers? It’d be really helpful to know what developments you’re working on and what’s coming next. It’ll reduce requests for the same feature over and over too.
Another pro plugin I use is Ultimate Member who publish a decent roadmap on their website which is useful for customers:
https://ultimatemember.com/roadmap/Something like that would be very helpful.
Thanks,
