This reply has been marked as private.I’m sorry, I can’t seem to get this to work. I enter the css in GeoDIrectory >> Design >>
Custom style css code.I also tried to hide the compass icon.
.geodir-search input.snear .snear ac_input { display: none; } .near-compass__web-inspector-hide-shortcut__ .gd-near-me-dropdown {display:none;}
Thanks. I put that css into the child theme’s css file and the WordPress stylesheet editor but the field still remains. Where should I be editing the css?

This has worked properly for over 12 sites without having to change urls in the database.
I think the urls only got messed up after I tried editing the Location url prefix by setting the location page in the latest version of GD.
As you can see all the other WordPress pages and posts are working fine. It’s just the category page listing links that are messed up.
http://main411.ca/main/restaurants/Adding new listings also creates broken links on that page.

Are you saying we cannot install Geodirectory in a subdirectory first and then point to it from root? Please advise.
Hi Stiofan,
Here are my results.
I installed the latest GT and updated. Events plugin would not activate.
After updating I get the following error and the site is blank when I upload.Fatal error: Call to undefined function has_shortcode() in /home/main411/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/general_functions.php on line 2102
After switching to twenty eleven theme I get a blank page when I call up my site in a browser. I had installed WordPress as a multi site install if that helps.
Thanks
I don’t want to buy a new version of GT just to do the conversion. I want to abandon GT and move to GD. Is there a way to create a custom post type on the old version of GT so I can export it into GD? I have a few hundred places I need to move over.
Thanks. I installed it but I guess I misunderstood how this plugin works. I have a very old version of Geotheme on a separate directory that I want to import into a new Geodirectory site on another directory. I thought it would work similar to the WordPress import/export tool.
When I use the WordPress import/export tool. I keep getting these error. Is there a way to export my posts using that tool or another method?
Failed to import “Pacey’s Clocks and Antiques”: Invalid post type place
Failed to import “Marti’s Antiques and Collectibles”: Invalid post type place
Failed to import “Sundwall Brundage Antiques”: Invalid post type place
Failed to import “Alice’s Old Furniture, Memorabilia”: Invalid post type placeThanks
Can you send me a copy of the beta conversion tool?
I updated the theme but now I am getting this error at the top of the site page whenever I click “add place” or” add event”. Please advise.
