    Hi guys,

    We have developed a tool for this but it has not been fully tested, do we have anyone that wants to volunteer to beta test it?

    I’ll beta test it Stiofan – I have a running site which is backed up and sat waiting for me to convert over to GD in longhand mode so I can give the shorthand way a go and see what happens and report back. Might be a few days before I can look at it though.

    Unfortunately, I don’t have time to do any testing. Can you tell me what the best alternative is for moving my site from GT out of the different options?

    Which is the most reliable method to transfer from GT to GD without using the beta transfer tool (I don’t have time to beta test it)?

    -use the GeoTheme export tool?
    -the 3rd party GT Bulk Manangment tool?
    -use the WordPress export tool?

    How do I easily export the photos to the new Geodirectory site?

    Thanks. I installed it but I guess I misunderstood how this plugin works. I have a very old version of Geotheme on a separate directory that I want to import into a new Geodirectory site on another directory. I thought it would work similar to the WordPress import/export tool.

    When I use the WordPress import/export tool. I keep getting these error. Is there a way to export my posts using that tool or another method?

    Failed to import “Pacey’s Clocks and Antiques”: Invalid post type place
    Failed to import “Marti’s Antiques and Collectibles”: Invalid post type place
    Failed to import “Sundwall Brundage Antiques”: Invalid post type place
    Failed to import “Alice’s Old Furniture, Memorabilia”: Invalid post type place

    You need to be using the latest ver of GT for it to work.

    I don’t want to buy a new version of GT just to do the conversion. I want to abandon GT and move to GD. Is there a way to create a custom post type on the old version of GT so I can export it into GD? I have a few hundred places I need to move over.
