after updating i experienced the same thing, i disabled the GD Core and addons via ftp. site worked fine. then re-enabled them via ftp. site was back up.

i proceeded to update the addons, then ran the database check and fix.

Now i realized while other posts show up fine, the events dont show, i edited one event and while it shows, the category count dont show count.

also i think the Event widget locations are missing. (were they ever there?)
