Thanks Alex. The way that works then is no good to me as I would prefer all events to be showing individually in the listing pages otherwise users are going to skip over / not find these recurring events that are not readily shown. The events that will be shown are training courses and although being exactly the same event but different date my users do a lot of searching relative to dates that suit them to attend. Looks like I’m just going to switch off the recurring option and have users list events individually. Regards Kerrin

following on from your question, although I have 70 categories they all fit under the one CPT.

I understand the category to untick option but thats not the problem. When I drill down to a certain location such as a country, region or city I only want the categories that relate to that area to show in the key / legend.
I think I worked it out…widgets, G Map home page, click on Map Auto Zoom. This will remove all irrelevant categories when you drill down to a certain region, city etc.
