Question on CSS – I have used the inspector but can’t seem to find two things. One, I would like to change the background to match the map background color. I tried fusion-gmap-container as shown in the inspector but although that works when I change the color it does not work when I add it to the custom CSS. Second, the text of the listings and sidebar is also white which is no good on a pale yellow background. The only way I could change it was to change the text on my links but then they disappear on other pages. Can I set a color for just the text on the GeoDirectory listings?
Question on markers – I read every post I could find about the default markers that are downloaded with the dummy data but I can’t find them anywhere so that I can add them to my media library. I have created some of my own markers but I would like them all to be the same.
Question on payment add-on – We want the listing to be an annual fee. I watched the video n the payments addon and this looks like the perfect solution for this but we will also be adding a plugin called OIO for ad management and this also has PayPal integration. Do you know if there will be any conflict with having two payment systems?
Thank you.
April 25, 2016 at 1:29 am #1703141. We’d need to see your URL for that, so if you can post that for us (in a private reply if you like) then we can have a quick look. WP admin details could be handy too.
2. They only get downloaded automatically to your media if you install the dummy data. You don’t have to use any of the GD ones, you can use all your own too. Have a look here too: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/category-icons-7/#post-141147
3. There should be no conflict because more than one plugin takes PayPal payments.

1) try for the background:
#fusion-gmap-container, #main, #sliders-container, #wrapper, .fusion-separator .icon-wrapper, body, html { background-color: #f0ede5; }
The second part I believe you were able to solve it?
2) Go to Places > Place Categories, markers are uploaded and edited from there.
Let us know,
Thanks
April 26, 2016 at 2:52 pm #171124The color worked. Thank you. Yes, I found the markers, finally.
Another question. On this site – http://www.otavalotoday.info/ I had added some of the place categories to the Business Directory menu. That was fine but I suddenly have two additions to the end of the main menu – Listing and Add Listing which I did not specify anywhere and are not showing in the menu when I try to edit the menus. If I am going to allow people to add their own listings I would like these selections to show up under the Business Directory selection. How do I move them if I can’t see them?
Appreciate your help, as always.
April 26, 2016 at 4:33 pm #171215Please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigation
remove them from there and add them back as custom link via Appearance >> Menu.
Thanks
April 27, 2016 at 1:49 pm #179983Unfortunately the CSS for the background color changed the entire site. Is there a way to just have it affect the directory?
April 27, 2016 at 3:39 pm #180056Hi,
you didn’t specify that…
please try:
.geodir-page #fusion-gmap-container, .geodir-page #main, .geodir-page #sliders-container, .geodir-page #wrapper, .geodir-page .fusion-separator .icon-wrapper, body.geodir-page { background-color: #f0ede5; }
Let us know,
Thanks
April 27, 2016 at 6:21 pm #180250Yes, that worked. I have tried for an hour now to also change the boring grey background color on the categories at the top of the page and the search bar, with no luck. They would be better even with a white background.
Appreciate your help, as always.
April 27, 2016 at 6:30 pm #180253Hi,
please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
or try a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/so-css/ (very easy to use)
or ultimately you will have to hire someone to help you out.
There is a limit to the number of css changes we can provide, these really go beyond support.
Thank you,
April 29, 2016 at 7:46 pm #182175Surprise, surprise! I actually figured it out and it looks pretty good.
I hope you will permit me one more question. I know you must have run into this before but I can’t find any information on it. This particular site, IbarraToday.info is obviously about Ibarra, Ecuador so I set the default location as Ibarra, Imbabura, Ecuador. The problem is that I have several listings that are just outside Ibarra. When I try to set their location on the map I get an error message and the marker is brought back to Ibarra. I’ve tried using the closest town. I’ve tried dragging the marker to the location but nothing works.
Appreciate your help, as always.
April 29, 2016 at 8:19 pm #182181With the free plugin you can only submit listings inside the default location. To add listings belonging to any other location require the location manager add-on.

Thanks
April 30, 2016 at 7:20 pm #182849Who defines the city area? I am trying to place markers well inside Ibarra but I keep getting the error message that send me back to a location in the city core.
May 1, 2016 at 1:20 am #182908Google does, have a look here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/definitions/#location
For example, Google treats San Antonia de Ibarra as a different “city”.
May 1, 2016 at 11:42 am #182992Thanks. I reported the issue to Google but you never get a response from them. Would it work if I changed the location to the province and is that possible?
