Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#fileThe “Search” label is not displaying on my search button in the home page, the size of the button too is very small. please help me fix this.
You can add this CSS to add “Search” to the search button:.fa-search:after {content: " Search";}
To increase the size of the button, you can add this CSS:
.geodir-search button {height: 50px;}
For more CSS tweaks see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/The items are not properly or professionally arranged or organised on the home page despite activation and configurations of most of the Add-ons.
Can you give more detail about what you don’t like, so we can explain the settings and widgets.Thanks
May 11, 2018 at 4:45 am #4300251. provide grid view option on homepage for visitors/users to select their own views
2. Homepage footer settings (sample image attached)
3. Search widgets/bar designs (sample image attached)
4. Listing body on homepage (sample image attached)
5. Search not displaying based on search criteria set( eg. restaurant listings displaying instead of hotels in the criteria)6.”Popular Places” section at the left of the homepage is disproportionately far shorter than the “Latest Places” section at the right of the homepage.
May 11, 2018 at 5:45 am #4300381. provide grid view option on homepage for visitors/users to select their own views
Options to select grid or list view are only possible on Listings and Search pages.2. Homepage footer settings (sample image attached)
Whoop Options > Footer Styling Options > Enable footer widget areas
Then add widgets at Appearance > GD Footer 1, GD Footer 2 etc3. Search widgets/bar designs (sample image attached)
Add GD Search widget to GD Header Right section.4. Listing body on homepage (sample image attached)
Add Popular Post widgets to GD Home Content section.
Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory5. Search not displaying based on search criteria set( eg. restaurant listings displaying instead of hotels in the criteria)
I can only see results that are in the restaurant category when I select restaurants [but some may be in other categories too]: http://busynets.com/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&sgd_placecategory%5B%5D=6&s=+&snear=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=
Please review GD > Design > Search: you have two sidebars at 30% and a content section at 67%,, making your page wider than 100%. That does not work correctly.6.”Popular Places” section at the left of the homepage is disproportionately far shorter than the “Latest Places” section at the right of the homepage.
Adjust the settings of the Popular Post View widget in the GD Home Right Section.Thanks
May 11, 2018 at 12:16 pm #430076Many thanks,my site is getting more and more standardised as a result of your excellent supports.
The Search button at the GD Header Right has covered the entire section, please help me to make it shorter and position it properly, i tried many options myself but unable to fix it.
When creating a Listing and you want to add Video, there is a caption/label (“Add video code here, YouTube etc.”). Ordinary users will find it a bit unfriendly dealing with video codes. The average user is used to uploading videos stored on their devices/computers just by clicking and following path.
Can you please show me how to add File button to the Video section to help users when adding videos just as you have for images.

I widened the site to accommodate the extra options you added to the GD Search.When creating a Listing and you want to add Video, there is a caption/label (“Add video code here, YouTube etc.”). There is no option for that. Your users only have to add the youtube URL, no other code required.
The only way to upload other files than images, is the upload custom field. -
