Let’s assume, my directory is based on rental places.
The hints I am struggling to make

1: How can I make a post type with a custom icon. I deleted the demo data and added new post. My post does not show on the map. How can I enable that. also on the bottom right of the map I do not see my post type to filter. Please walk me through how to add new type of post which shows on the map.

2: hopefully I will get my posts working will your help. When is it possible to update the map as we move the map. So if my main location is California and I move the map to Ny, how can I set the map to show the listing on that location.

    1. Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/custom-post-types-add-on-overview/

    2. That is not possible for the moment.
We suggest you add the location switcher to move to other locations: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/multilocations/#main

    3. Can you give more information? What are you exactly trying to change and where?

If you post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply, then we can check your settings if you want.

    Thanks

    Hi Joe,

Just inspected your Website and here are some of the steps you’ll have to follow.

    1. Create categories for your new CPT (properties to sell) https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/guide-to-setting-up-your-geodirectory-website/#listing

    2. Choose a category when you add a listing.

    3. Select which category to show on the map https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#map

Could you give it a try?

    Thanks!

Your problem is with megamenu, if you disable that, all should be OK. Or seek help from the developers of Megamenu.
    Thanks

Do you recommend any menu plugins which works best with GD
    Thanks..

Have a look at Appearance > Menus and then use the Screen Options to add more menu options, see image.

Also, have a look at GD > Design > Navigation
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigation

Why do you want to use a menu plugin? What extra functionality are you looking for?

    Thanks
