Adding listings from the backend

    Hi!

    For my website, I intend to control and add listings from the backend, and also NOT allow users on the frontend to add or edit listings. Is GeoDirectory able to perform these functions?

    Hi Riz,

    Thanks for your reply. Yes, this is possible. You’ll just have to make sure the “Add Listing” pages are being set to private.

    Yes, that is easily achieved by installing the Custom Post Type addon, and then selecting “Disable frontend add” in the settings for the custom post types.

    Hi again,

    I tried doing as you mentioned, and disabled the frontend add option. However, I’m running into another problem, as I’m not sure now how to add a proper listing from the backend. I’ve tried the “Add New” option from the WP admin area, but it doesn’t show me the fields to add information for the new listing.

    Hope someone could help me out on this. Thank you!

    Have you de-activated the custom fields?
    Are you trying to “Add Place” of the Places menu?

    GD plugins should not be network activated, please activate site by site.
