Hi guy, my location is set to Toronto and I’m using a free base. When I try to add something outside of Toronto, then I the message that says something along the lines – ‘please add only locations from Toronto’.
Main question:
Do I need Location Manager https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/location-manager/ to be able to add multiple unlimited locations? If the answer is yes – then a couple of questions:
– 45$ is it a yearly fee r is it a one-time price
– If it is a yearly price, will the plugin stop working after one year if it is not renewed? (I understand there will be no support)Thank you.
December 22, 2016 at 6:35 pm #329338Hi,
you will need the Location Manager.
All add-ons are limited in time by recurring payment. All these information are available here below the pricing table: https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/membership/
Thanks
December 22, 2016 at 6:37 pm #329339On a bit personal note, I really like GD so far, but I don;t think the approach is fair.
When you go to Yellow Pages and look for businesses in Toronto it gives listings from GTA – Greater Toronto Area. Nobody in North America separates Toronto from GTA, it is considered one big city.GD does makes this distinction for some reason and it doesn’t make great impression on my client when I have to tell him – “Oh, we agreed that you will need to by Custom pots Add-on, but please add 45$ for Location Manager”. His reply regarding not including other parts of Toronto was “it is like considering a human body consisting of a head only”.
My client is computer-savvy, the more addons we have to buy, the more difficult it would be for me to justify staying with GD instead of https://codecanyon.net/item/directory-pro/12488012/ or this: https://codecanyon.net/item/sabai-directory-plugin-for-wordpress/4505485
P.S. I’m not trying to change your business model, just giving you a client;s angle.
December 22, 2016 at 6:41 pm #329341Thanks for your answer – just to clarify – it is one time fee with lifetime support or every year I should pay for it to be supported?
When there is a new version of Locaton add-on – will I get the upgrade for free?Thank you very much for quick replies!
ElijahDecember 22, 2016 at 6:58 pm #329355Hi,
the free version of GeoDirectory allows to submit listings in 1 location and this is what Google Maps consider Toronto (not us) : https://www.google.com/maps/place/Toronto,+ON,+Canada/@43.717899,-79.6582408,10z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x89d4cb90d7c63ba5:0x323555502ab4c477!8m2!3d43.653226!4d-79.3831843
Outside of that area, they are considered different cities like Markham, Vaughan and so on.
Again all these information are available in both our website and wordpress.org page, so we think our approach is 100% fair.
Comparing us to the plugins available on Envato, we consider it unfair, both the product and level of support are really not comparable.
Thanks
December 22, 2016 at 7:07 pm #329366OK, no problem, I thought it was GD limitation, but if it comes from Google, then there is nothing you can do, agree.
December 22, 2016 at 8:47 pm #329379Sorry, just to make sure we are buying the right one.
In order to change the names like All Places and Latest places, as shown here http://imgur.com/a/OUNVx
we need this one – https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/custom-post-types/ ?Thank you!
December 23, 2016 at 12:21 am #329459You can achieve that in 2 ways:
