Hi I have updates all plugins and noticed places return 404. On rollback everything worked fine. I’ve now retried the updates and the same has happened again. Can I give you the web address and logins to take a look please?

    All your locations are wrong.
They all need to be in this format: city > region > country.
    See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/definitions/#location

All listings need to be in at least one category.

So I corrected only your default location, and added the listing to a category.

    Thanks

Thank you, can you talk me through in more detail how to fix the rest of these please? Are these changes to be made in wp-admin and/or PHPMyAdmin? If so, what are the exact steps please?

Simplest is to delete the locations from GD > Multilocations > Manage location tab. BUT NOT THE DEFAULT LOCATION
    See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/manage-location/#edit

    Thanks

Also when I go to delete locations it says it will delete the places in this city. So I don’t want to do this. What are other ways of solving this then please?

You said all of the locations on eventevolution.co.uk are wrong and that you changed only one ‘So I corrected only your default location’.

What was it set to previously?
What did you change it to?
How did you change it exactly?

    You asked me to:
Simplest is to delete the locations from GD > Multilocations > Manage location tab. BUT NOT THE DEFAULT LOCATION
    See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/manage-location/#edit

When I try to do this I get a notification saying any places associates with these location will be deleted if I delete this location itself .

If I delete all locations in GD > Multilocations > Manage location tab – will all of my places/listing be deleted. If this is the case then how can I resolve this 404 problem if I don’t know manually what the City, Region and Country is for each location (i.e. doing this via import/export or manually?

    Hello!

I don’t see a 404 problem at the moment. The listing page I edited does show at the link I gave above.

If you delete a location, yes, the listings will be deleted (unless they are merged into another location).

You can check the listing data manually and update them, or you can export->edit-> and re-import.

I can’t tell you what the setting was previously, but Guust will check back in the morning.

Let us know what else we can do to assist you.

I did reply yesterday, but it looks like I forgot to submit my post. Sorry about that 🙁

Firstly, I cannot directly find errors on your main site, but we only checked on your dev site.
The errors and issues could be quite different on your main site.
The 404s at Google may be from before you changed permalinks etc. Google is sometimes slow to catch up.

What was it set to previously? What did you change it to?
    The default location was

    , ,

which I changed to Millerstown, Pennsylvania, United States

How did you change it exactly?
GD > Multilocations > Manage Location tab > find the default location and edit. See image too.

If I delete all locations in GD > Multilocations > Manage location tab – will all of my places/listing be deleted.
Yes, they will. If you have listings (unlike in your dev site).
So you should correct the locations by editing them. That will also change the address for all listings in that location.

If we need to review the live site, please provide admin details. Which pages are 404 there?

    Thanks
