    Hi,

I am using ‘GeoDirectory Advance Search Filters’ in my site. There are some issues occurred on my site, some functionality which I required on my site is not working properly.

    Issues are given below:
    – I want autocomplete on search functionality which is not working. There is error shown in console that ‘Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(…).autocomplete_gd is not a function’ in frontend.min.js of ‘GeoDirectory Advance Search Filters’.

    – Another issue is with geodirectory map, map pin popup is not working. I have added geodirectory map on custom page. When I’m clicking on map pin, its showing error in console that ‘Uncaught ReferenceError: gd_infowindow is not defined’ in map.min.js file.

Please help me out to resolve these issues.

    Thank You

    Hello,

please first update your GD plugins.

The Core plugin is one version behind, and you will need to add WP Easy Updates to update the addons:

    Hello Alex,

As my current wordpress site has multiple plugins installed in it, those plugins I don’t want to update. Will WP Easy Updates plugin affect others plugins than geodirectory?

Also, is there any way to update geodirectory plugins?

    Thank You

    Hi,

Also jQuery(…).autocomplete_gd is not a function and gd_infowindow is not defined are the two main issues. Can you let me know where those functions are defined or how to fix those.

    Thank You

    Hello,

WP Easy Updates will not update without your approval first. Each plugin that can be updated, you have to press ‘Update Now’ in order to update.

As you can see GeoDirectory is one version behind.

Please update the GD plugins so we can isolate the issue.

    Hello Alex,

We have updated the geodirectory plugin and also added the extra plugins licence keys using WP Easy Updates. But the same issue has occurred. So I have currently deactivated the WP Easy Updates plugin.

Please have a look into the issue. Do not activate any plugin as its too risky.

    Thank You

    Hello,

for debugging it would help if you had a staging site. Can you clone the site and provide FTP for further debugging?

This is most probably a plugin conflict and some plugins ould need to be disabled in order to identify the culprit.

One that might be the culprit is the “Scripts to Footer” plugin if it is interfering with the loading of the autocomplete JS.

I will flag this for the developers to take a look, but they will be hampered by not being able to interact with the plugins.

    Hello Irina,

On site pages there are two calls to include jQuery JavaScript files. One with ../wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.12.4 & another with https://code.jquery.com/jquery-2.2.0.min.js?ver=4.9.7
Both jQuery files have a different version. This could be a reason for JavaScript error on the pages.

Please provide us FTP credentials so we can investigate more.

    Thanks,
    Kiran
