AVada Child theme error after update to 3.8

Hi,

Everything was great until I updated to Avada 3.8 from 3.7x

Now I get an error on line 711 of my child theme.

Call to undefined function avada_header_template() in /home4/nasc/public_html/nasconline.org/wp-content/themes/geodir_Avada-Child-Theme/header.php on line 711

While I wait for Avada’s v3.81 to be approved by Envato that they said would fix the error, I thought I would look at the error myself. But, I guess I need to know of a program that will allow me to see the line #’s.

Or, is there a way to undo the update without going to our BU?

Also, I can get into the backend, the error is only on the public side.

Hi Nasc,

even though GeoDirectory offers compatibility with Avada, we don’t provide support for Avada itself. We only provide support for compatibility between GD and Avada and this is not the case.

Please post this on Avada support forum.

OK, Avada could not find the problem so they had me switch from my child theme to the actual Avada theme itself. Now it’s up and running. I lost my homepage sidebar and a my footers but it’s basically all back.

I see that the GD Avada child theme is discontinued,

How do I create new child theme or try to fix my current child theme which has an error on line 711.

Or should I do something else?
