Hi Team,
my site at https://www.hundeportal.eu is working quite and yesterday i did a bit of changes to entries to get better yoast seo results – but at the end this caused that many internal links from breadcrumbs are now broken
I already deactivated all non Geodirectory plugin – but nothing helped.
I only recognised, that yesterday also an update of the geodirectory happened.
can you please support
many Thanks Alex
1) Link to an entry: https://www.hundeportal.eu/p/germany/freiburg-im-breisgau/tierheilpraktiker/hundeschule-ulrich/
2) Now all links right from germany are not working, eg. https://www.hundeportal.eu/p/germany/freiburg-im-breisgau/
3) If i add the region (which i’m normally not using) in the link, then i don’t get an error bit this result: https://www.hundeportal.eu/p/germany/baden-wuerttemberg/freiburg-im-breisgau/
March 15, 2018 at 12:17 pm #421578Hello,
if changes are made to GD Permalinks, do make a visit to WP – Settings – Permalinks and resave the settings there.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/troubleshooting-guide/#general
For sites with more than one region or city it is best to include the complete location in the URL:
March 15, 2018 at 1:27 pm #421587Hi Alex,
thank you for your answer – i did save the wp-settings for permalinks already – but did not help.
That i should have included the complete location – better to know this earlier as many pages are already indexed by google 😐
what make me curious is, that up to yesterday all went fine … is there really no fix for that?

https://www.hundeportal.eu/p/germany/markkleeberg/tierarzt/tierarztpraxis-dr-imke-koerner/
https://www.hundeportal.eu/p/germany/nannhausen/tierheilpraktiker/tierheilpraxis-kathrin-meding-reichardt/Could you tell where can I find this listing? https://www.hundeportal.eu/p/germany/freiburg-im-breisgau/ . I can’t seem to search it using this keyword “freiburg”
Thanks!
March 15, 2018 at 4:06 pm #421606Hi Kor,
if you go for https://www.hundeportal.eu/p/germany/freiburg-im-breisgau/tierheilpraktiker/hundeschule-ulrich/ and then hit a link like Freiburg in the breadcrumbs – this will lead to an 404

March 16, 2018 at 11:27 am #421705All the location links in the breadcrumbs and category links appear to be working.
Can you confirm? Or let us know if there is still an issue.
Thanks

as you mentioned before, in a multi location environment i should go for the complete sttings – i changed this accordingly – nevertheless I will need to add redirections for the existing links, as they already spread in the web – or do you have a fix for the issue?
br AlexMarch 16, 2018 at 2:49 pm #421760GD does not have a system for redirects built in, no.
March 16, 2018 at 3:47 pm #421774Hi Alex,
i know, thats why i have an addin called redirection.br Alex
you may close this ticket, as i use the workaround with complete breadcrumb.
