    I am trying to bulk import listings without street addresses or Long or Lat info which I understand is not necessary upon import, as I am supposed to be able to disable that setting? My issue is this:I need a way to import listings with only city, region and country data. I do not have the street addresses of most of them, so will I be able to use this directory? It is a fantastic directory but this seems like a major problem.

    Lat and lng coordinates are mandatory if you want to upload listings with addresses.
    If you never want addresses or maps for listings, then you can create a CPT that does not require addresses.

    Select CPT to disable physical location
    This option will only be here if the Custom Post Type addon is activated.
    If you want a CPT without any addresses, select the CPT here. For example, online businesses etc

    post_address: Street address [This can be the actual street address, or the name of the Business, etc – it just cannot be blank]

    Thanks for that helpful advice. So I made the necessary adjustments, created a CPT named free listings and tried to import a small CSV file. It gave me the same result as above, so I guess it is trying to import to the original CPT. How do I get it to import to the newly created one? Please help.

    You need to change gd_place to the new post type.
    It might also be because you are trying to upload countries and regions for listings that will not have any location details.

    Pardon me, but do I need to change the current gd_place with list of businesses (with addresses) to the list with businesses (without addresses, gd_free_listings)? Is it not possible to create a CPT and upload that straightaway? I hope I make myself clear enough. Please advise

    In the post type column of the CSV file you need to tell the system you want the listings to go into the gd_free_listings CPT.
    All requirements apart from location fields are still the same. For example, the categories you want to import to have to exist already in the new CPT.
