    Morning,
Is it possible to have a delete option for the special offer? I know I can delete from the dashboard but is there a way to add a delete function to the special offer page so that the business can delete it in their listing?

I’ve had a look at the forums and couldn’t find anything about it!

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Kim,

Unfortunately, that would require complex customization to achieve that. But feel free to add this into the feature request lists https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/

    Thanks!

Your special offers are just added like listings, so whoever “owns” the listing can delete them from the frontend, if you provide a GD login widget somewhere.
    Thanks

that’s what I was thinking but when I look at the special offers there is no way to delete from the front end. Do you mean I need to include a GD login widget on the actual page? Can you clarify please?

it’s not a deal breaker for my site as I know admin can delete them but it would be a nice feature to have.

If this is not possible can I add an “end by date” as with the events? That would work just as well

    Thanks in advance

The reason you cannot delete it is because you were hiding the user link section with CSS.
I added this CSS at GD > design > scripts:

    .geodir_category_list_view li .geodir-addinfo span {display: block;}

I also added the login widget to the sidebar of the detail page, but you can move it or add it anywhere else too.

    Thanks

That’s great – very kind, thank you.

Is there a way that I can change the appearance of this page now? – it’s a little bit messy I Couldn’t find a link in the back end of the site to change.

    Many thanks in advance

That is the GD Author page:
GD > Design > Author tab.
Appearance > Widgets > Author sections.

    Thanks
