Can you Select EVERYWHERE from NEAR location box?

    Hi I looked for this in many forum postings but could not find my answer.

    When I added the advance search add on I selected “Add everywhere option in location switcher city drop-down.”. This allowed me to set “EVERYWHERE” from the top drop down location selection menu.

    Now on the ‘Search for’ menu I can type any city on the NEAR location box and then search. Then the location gets changed to the new selected city. Is there a way to go back to the “EVERYWHERE” location by typing something like “EVERYWHERE” instead of a CITY name on the location box? or once I change to a city from the location box I must go to the location pull down menu to change it back to “EVERYWHERE’? or can I change back to “EVERYWHERE” from the NEAR location box?

    Hi Rigo, you indeed need to reset by going Home or selecting everywhere from the location switcher.

    Hi Guust,
    Thank you for the reply. Ok, so I see what you mean, if I set my ‘Home page should go to’ to ‘Site root’, then yes, each time I go home the city resets to everywhere.

    Now when I do a ‘Change Location’ with my location changing pull down menu it always throws me back to my home page. It there a way make it stay on the same page when I change the city with the ‘Change Location’ menu?

    Changing city redirects to the location page for the selected location, it is not possible to change that.

    Hi Paolo,
    Just to clarify I understand this correctly.
    So if I am in the listing page and I use the ‘change location’ to select another city, it will automatically change me back to my home page right?

    To, the ‘change location’ does two things automatically, change to the selected location and set you back to home page right? And these functionality can not be changed to leave you so you can stay in the listing page when you change cities right?

    If you select a city from the location switcher, you will be taken to the location page for that city. And the session will remember that city, until you choose another city or region, or choose to go “home”.
