Hi,
I’m testing out the core plugin, which I’m really impressed with so far.
I have hit a stumbling block with the GD Archive page. I’m editing it with Elementor Pro, with the page template set to “Elementor Full Width”, but it’s not displaying as full width.
My theme is Generate Press. All other pages that I’ve made using the “Elementor full Width” template have been full width. But for some reason the Archive page I’m making is displaying presented within a centred section with blank space where left and right sidebars would be.
I can’t find a way to make it actually be full width, so am wondering if there’s a bug going on here?
many thanks for your help
October 21, 2019 at 9:44 pm #514193The sidebars would normally be in the boxed sections, outside the main area? Link to another example of full width?
For Elementor, are you implementing as described here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/builders/
If so please link to the theme builder layout backend page so we can take a look at the issue there.
Please include WP Admin credentials in a private reply so we can take a look at the settings. FTP is also helpful if we need to debug.
Thanks
Alex
October 21, 2019 at 9:55 pm #514197ok thank you I have used elementor pro to override the GD Archive page that is in the page list. This seems to have worked.
Crikey – fast reply! thank you so much 🙂
October 21, 2019 at 10:15 pm #514202I see that I can’t do this for a GeoDirectory-specific search – I can only apply it to the entire site-wide search, which I wouldn’t want to do.
This takes me back to the original issue that the ‘elementor full width’ theme is not working for these pages (ie the search page).
I will reply next with the credentials you’d need.

1) Use WP Pages with GD shortcodes in them (without Elementor)
2) Use Elementor Theme Builder layouts (Single, Search Archive sitewide)You will not be able to get reliable results with Elementor on those WP Pages and that includes rendering of sidebars etc.
There is another choice, to use a lightweight builder like siteorigin on those pages. Elementor page builder isn’t the same as Pro, though, in this case, and we don’t support usage on the WP Pages.
October 21, 2019 at 10:37 pm #514207sorry, I’m not sure I understand the last point. I thought Elementor Pro/theme builder was supported?
I’m happy with editing those pages with GD shortcodes, however that doesn’t get around the fact that I can’t change the pages to be full width because choosing the option “elementor full width” doesn’t seem to work.
October 21, 2019 at 10:56 pm #514210ok have found some more articles on the forums regarding Elementor Theme Builder’s issues with search pages. Annoying. Hopefully Elementor come up with a solution to that soon.
In the meantime, any help you could give me to understand why the ‘GD search’ page won’t go full width when I change it to a full width template would be really great.
many thanks.
October 21, 2019 at 10:57 pm #514211Elementor can be used on the Location and Archive Items, but only Elementor Pro can be used for the Archive, Search Archive and Details. If you don’t use Theme Builder layouts for those, then you will be using WP Pages (without Elementor or Elementor templates).
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/builders/
If you turn off Elementor on one or more of those pages we can take at why the fullwidth template isn’t full width.

please can you screengrab what loads on your screen?
October 22, 2019 at 11:18 pm #514354The page appears to be the width set in the customizer of 1100px.
Try this
body.search .grid-container { max-width: 100%!important; }
