Categories widget, upcoming events?

Hi,

We use both the GeoDirectory Events CPT + Custom Post Types (with “Is Event Post Type?” activated)

Under GeoDirectory > Settings > Events, we have “Default event filter” set to “Upcoming” and “Hide event past schedules?” checked. Under the “Sorting” tab we have added “Event date” as default sort.

This is displaying upcoming listings fine for archive view/widget/shortcode listings, however I can not make the categories widget or shortcode to only display categories that contains “upcoming” listings? I have “Hide empty” checked and I also tried “manually” adding event_type=”upcoming” to a shortcode but it doesn´t help ?

Hello,

We have a task set to look at this. While I can’t provide a date I have added this topic to be notified if there is an update.
