Hi, I’ve enabled ‘Claim Listing’ recently. We have a Free and a Premium (Paid) category. I’ve enabled ‘force upgrade’ when I setup Claim listing. The idea was when someone claims a Free listing they’ll be given an option to upgrade with a payment option.
But when I go to test it, turns out, it only shows the upgrade option only if it’s a premium item already. It’s already paid for. It even allowed me to pay for it again. But when I try to do the same with a free item, no payment option shows up at all. I’m including images as attachments. In fact, not only that it shows no payment option, but also when the form is filled out, it goes to an empty page and does nothing. I’m including wp-admin access in a private form at the bottom. Plz, let me know what I’m doing wrong. You’ll find the very first entry ‘Moose’s WP Shop’ is a free item which is giving me no upgrade option. and second entry ‘Moose’s JavaScript Shop’ which already was a Premium item and let me pay the second time when it was claimed. and the third one ‘Moose’s React Shop’ which is sitting as an already paid Premium item and when you try to Claim it, it will give you the upgrade payment option again. I’d really appreciate the help on this. We are very close to launch and this is pretty much the last snag we are facing …

when I tried to claim that listing and I encountered a whitescreen with a ‘0’.
Your plugins look up to date, so I will flag your topic for the developers to take a look.
Please reply with FTP so the developers can debug the issue.

Please try after clearing your browser cache.
Thanks,
KiranMarch 12, 2019 at 2:18 am #474090Hi, I’ve cleared all browsing data and re-tried. But I’m still not getting the upgrade payment feature where I would have a choice to pay for the upgrade … Guys plz let me know you are understanding the issue here … a listing that is already premium, doesn’t need to have the upgrade payment option. I need the FREE listing claim to have that option when it is clicked. Cuz FREE one needs to be upgraded. A premium one already has been paid and has a premium status. The opposite thing is happening … Or plz help me understand the logic of your software here … am I getting this wrong somehow? Plz, help me understand it and fix this … Thanx.
Plz, let me know if you understand what I’m trying to say here … thanx …
March 12, 2019 at 9:13 am #474123Hello Mical,
I understand what you are asking.
Let me clear things.
– The free package is not allowed to upgrade via claim listing process.
– The Package list displayed on the claim listing form is filtered by the package > category exclude option.
– You have excluded Premium category from “Free” package & Free category from “Premium”.The listing with Free package will not display “Free” package in list because it is free and it will also not display “Premium” package because the current listing has Free category which is excluded for “Premium” package.
The listing with Premium package will package in list because it is not free and it is allowed for “Premium” package.FYI: We are currently working on GeoDirectory v2 with some advanced option. In Claim Listing v2 we have allowed to choose package list to display on listing with specific package. So what you are asking is possible to achieve with Claim Listing v2.
See for more details on Claim v2 https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/claim/#settingsLet us know.
Best Regards,
KiranMarch 17, 2019 at 5:18 am #474971Thank you very much, ma’am! As soon as I removed the Premium exclusion from the Free package, Claim started to work.
To tell you the truth, I have no idea why I excluded Premium, to begin with. Now by changing this exclusion, am I messing up any other things? Plz, let me know. I really don’t understand what this ‘Category Exclusion’ really means and why it matters. I’d truly appreciate your (brief) explanation on this. Thanx in advance.

March 18, 2019 at 10:09 am #475101Hello,
If a category is excluded, then a listing with that package cannot add that category.
You can find docs here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/pricing-manager/
Let us know if you run into any more issues by making a new ticket.
Thanks 🙂
