CPT attachment image (featured image) won't upload

    Hi,

    I upgraded to GD V2 yesterday and in the process of setting everything up. I believe that the upgrade completed successfully, and I followed all the setup prompts during the process.

    As part of the process, I added a new listing via the backend. When I uploaded an image for the listing, it let me select the image, the upload progress bar showed during upload, the upload completed, but the image is not shown in the upload box. The image is also not added to the Media.

    I enabled WP debug to look for clues, but there were none. I also made sure that Wordfence is set to learning mode, just in case it is blocking it. The package that I selected for this listing allows up to 5 images. The image is only 45 kb. From all that I can see, this should work.

    Can you please help?

    We had another report of this where curl calls to the same server were being blocked by the host.

    I will flag your topic for the developers. Could you query your host about that?

    Eureka! The problem is solved! It turns out that there was an entry or entries in my .htaccess file that caused it. My host switched my .htaccess file with the standard file that they put on sites and the problem disappeared.

    If it might help you guys solve future issues, I’d be happy to paste both .htaccess files below for you to inspect.

    Hi Alex,

    I ran some tests and as I suspected, this line…

    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} WordPress [NC,OR]

    …in my .htaccess filed caused the problem. The moment I commented it out, all worked fine.

    I also updated to GD V2 yesterday and the same is happening to me. The upload from wp media gallery works fine. Before the upgrade to V2 the upload was working fine. I dont no what to do.
