Custom fields or Tags link and filter

Hi another question about custom fields and filter.

i need to create a a custom fields selected and linked my custom fields selected like tag and category ( just on click) .
An example: My custom fields selected name is Gender and my fields: Man, Women, children.
Gender: Man, Woman, children. On my on a listing detail page if i click on “Man” i can see all de listing with Man on gender . just like you can do with category.

I can’t use “Tag” because i need to use the custom field on searchbar too. Or on documentation they said is not possible to use Tag On searchbar.

However, i know how to display in add listing page form the tag box like category box (selected between admin category/tag created by administrator) .So the an can only select Tag( i have 5 Tags). In this case is it possible to add tag on the searchbar like category? how can i do that mannualy cowboy searchbar hack or enable it MANAGE ADVANCE SEARCH OPTIONs with some hook or custom code…
