After our most recent update to v 1.6.30, our checkbox option interface quit displaying as checkboxes and we can no longer easily create or edit listings within our site.

The attached screenshot is from a staging environment with ALL other plugins turned off (including paid extensions for GeoDirectory) and on the 2017 theme.

Please send me a secure link for admin and FTP credentials if you’d like to dig into the site.

    Thank you,

    Hello,

have you already tried resaving the custom fields page?

Make a small edit to any of the fields and then save.

See if that restores it. If not, review the settings for the field and see if there isn’t an issue.

If the issue persists, please write back with WP Admin and we can take a look.

Thanks. I had changed some settings but not those specific fields. I have edited each of our custom fields and that appears to have fixed the issue.

    Appreciate it!

Great, glad to hear you got it working.

I have seen this issue before, and it seems to be related to the browser cache. If you haven’t already, it is a very useful thing to do a hard reload every once in awhile to completely clear the cache.

This definitely wasn’t browser or IP specific caching – we checked multiple browsers and a staging environment from multiple places across the country. Clearing CloudFlare, local WP site caching and hosting caching didn’t resolve. BUT opening and resaving sections did, so we’re happy campers!

    Thanks!

We would very much like to know if you have any ideas about what might have caused the issue or how to recreate it. This is an elusive issue, indeed.

As far as we can tell, it came with the most recent round of updates we ran. I’ll certainly let you know if it happens again.

    Thanks!
