Hi, I am using the events CPT, but I have a problem i cant explain: any time i try to create a dummy listing, it is created but without any data, e.g. description, images and when I want to view i get the screen “oops..embarrassing..” site cant be found.
Do you have any idea?
Thank you very much!
KristjanMarch 16, 2019 at 12:09 am #474828Sounds like a permalinks issue. In your other topic it sounds like you haven’t run the converter. https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/linking-events-to-places-2/#post-474813
Try following this guide to setup your site:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/installation/#convert
and
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/March 16, 2019 at 12:09 am #474829Try resaving your permalinks, too
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/permalinks/March 16, 2019 at 11:26 am #474868Hi Alex,
thanks for your message.Regarding v1 > v2: since I only have a test website, instead of running the converter in the beginning I thought I could take a shortcut and de-install V1 and then installed V2. However, afterwards I had received the message in my admin panel/dashboard to run the converter and I did successfully, so I am not sure what I could have missed or where to check if anything else needs to be done.
Regarding the issue with the Events CPT, indeed the setting seemed to be not correct and I changed them according to the info in the link provided, however the problem remains: e.g. uploading a picture, selecting a category or any other info apart from the description text is not saved.
If you have any other idea I could try I would very much appreciate it!
Thank you!
Kristjan

March 16, 2019 at 3:11 pm #474908Hi Alex,
thank you very much for your support – really appreciate it!
I just checked, and while I see that I can e.g. insert the location now, I cannot upload any featured images, i.e. I upload them but they are not stored.March 16, 2019 at 4:32 pm #474912Hi,
in the event package you have images within the excluded field.
Remove it from there and it should work.
Let us know.
Thank you
March 16, 2019 at 4:56 pm #474914Hi Paolo, thanks for the reply – you guys work non-stop. I just removed it from the excluded field, but the problem remains.
Thank you!
March 16, 2019 at 9:24 pm #474934Hello,
I took another look and I can see what you mean. I have flagged the issue for the developers to take a look as soon as possible.
March 18, 2019 at 10:15 am #475103Hello Kristjan,
I have investigated and found that there is an error “cURL error 35: error:14077410:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:sslv3 alert handshake failure” which creates trouble for uploading image.
Ask your server admin to setup valid SSL certificate. You can try temporary solution provided at here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/images-not-showing-after-upload/#post-469642y
Thanks,
KiranMarch 19, 2019 at 6:03 pm #475410Hi Kiran,
thanks for your reply. I talked to my hosting provider and received the message below:
Hello Kristjan,
Thank you for contacting our Technical Support!
I reviewed your case and as I can see there is a valid SSL installed on the mynextspa.com domain. You can verify this using an online tool such as:
https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html?hostname=mynextspa.com
The issue as I can see is caused due to the cURL request is set to use SSLv3 which is disabled on our servers. You can read more about SSLv3 here:
https://www.siteground.com/blog/goodbye-ssl-version-3/
With this being said you should either use a different plugin which has the same functionalities and is not using SSLv3 or you should contact the support of the plugin so they can check if the connection can be changed to work with a different protocol.
If you need any further assistance don’t hesitate to contact us again.
Best Regards,
