custom title for categories and tags is not showing

    when opening category or tag page for the specific location in the title field it says “GD Archive”, templates works for meta title and meta description.

    I have Yoast diabled.
    The weird thing is that on localhost it works, but on staging does not work.

    This is probably due to PHP version differences.

    Check your localhost and hosted PHP versions. You may want to update your PHP version on your host.

    Let us know what the host says about that.

    Any other changes from local to staging?

    I don’t see any other issues with the site settings.

    Try disabling varnish on the server and cache on the site.

    Sorry, I was too quick to answer.
    Unfortunatelly this not works.
    I was testing php 7.2 and 7.3
    does not work.

    I was trying to find the php function in your theme responsible for the title.
    This problem occurs on: directory-starter

    but when changed to: supreme-directory
    it works fine.

    both are using wordpress the_title() function

    Why it works differently?
