    Hi there,
I’m trying to customize the Supreme child theme and have some question:

    1. Is it possible to add various categories to this directory, and if so, will they be added separately or under “Places?” For example, I DON’T want a “place” directory, I want a services niche directory. I want people to be able to list their services (which will fall under certain categories, like writer>editor>children’s books). They can list where they’re located, but location is secondary to the service. Is this possible?

    2. I am having a horrible time figuring out how to obtain an API key so that maps show on my site. I don’t understand what it is I’m supposed to be doing. I’ve gotten two keys already and neither of them pull up a single map. Is there a step by step that may show me what I’m doing wrong?

Thanks for any help you can give me on this. 🙂

    Hi,

1 you can use the Custom Post Type add-on to create as many listings type as you want and for each CPT create as many categories as you wish. You should try to limit your categories to parent > sub-category.

For the default CPT Places, categories are created via Palces >> Place Categories or imported via CSV file.

For every new CPT that you add they will be created via CPT name >> CPT name Categories.

    2) Please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/add-google-api-key/

Let us know how you went,

    Thanks
