** Sorry for posting this here, There is no forum for the Directory Converter **
I purchased the GeoDirectory package for a tourism website. I am using the Whoop theme and many of the plugins offered.
I installed the Directory Converter plugin and attempted to import/convert from PhpMyDirectory. The tool appears to be connecting to the database but it is reporting there are no listings, users, events, etc.
When I check the database using PhpMyAdmin I am seeing all listings, users, etc.
Any idea what I may be doing wrong?
Not sure if this matters but the PhpMyDirectory core files were removed from the server (due to a hack) and only the database exists.
Thank You!

It is very likely that the conversion cannot work because only the database is available, but I will get the developers to confirm that.
Thanks
January 3, 2020 at 7:14 pm #523904Hi, thank you!
This is a clean install (I believe). The public site is and html site. The WordPress is in its own folder to be worked on until ready to replace the old site.
Have you heard anything from the developers about whether the PHPMyDirectory site files have to be on the server?
January 4, 2020 at 12:14 am #523932The WP site is not a clean install because you already have listings and users in the WP site.
You can only do the conversion on a new WP site, ie no users except admin, no listings.
I’ll alert the developer again, he is only back on Monday after his holiday break. Thanks
January 4, 2020 at 2:41 am #523952Hmmm, not seeing any users besides myself. The only listings were imported demos I believe.
January 4, 2020 at 2:46 am #523955I cannot access the site anymore, but I guess you had yourself as admin and a temporary user to give us access.
You need to start with a clean slate. Thanks
January 4, 2020 at 4:39 am #523959Hi Matt,
You do not need the PhpMyDirectory files to import your listings. However, you will need the media attachments if you wish to import them alongside your listings.
What version of PhpMyDirectory are you using?
You might want to first install and run the https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-reset/ plugin. Remember to run the import before installing any other plugin (except GD and its addons).
Since the import process won’t work if you have more than one user, delete the geodirectory user and share login details to your main administrator user so that we can help you troubleshoot.
PS: I can’t login to the geodirectory user account.
January 4, 2020 at 2:27 pm #524006Hi,
Thank you for the info! I will play around with it for a few minutes to see if I can get it to convert before I reset WP. I forgot about the media files, thank you for reminding me.
I was using PHPMD 1.5.3
I have a few other directories that use PHPMD that also need to be converted, those are slightly older versions of PHPMD.
I will let you know how it goes…
Also, Check the screen shots for the converter I attached. The plugin wants a license for auto updates but “license not required” shown in my account.
January 4, 2020 at 6:53 pm #524026I was able to get the converter to work. I reinstalled the core PMD files, and the “files” folder from the last backup I had of the functioning website which has the images and logos in it for the listings. At first it wouldn’t work but it ended up being the php version needed to be set at 5.6
Everything converted into WP but I don’t see the images/logo links are broken, and the links are broken to the listings (404 errors). I have WP in its own folder named “wp” while the PHPMD files are in root.
I will send a new login…

https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/permalinks/#404
For images, they should be uploaded to the WordPress site into the folder for the current month like wp-content/2020/01/
January 4, 2020 at 11:46 pm #524051Whoop is a child theme of Director Starter.
Best practice is to run the Setup Wizard after switching to Whoop:
