I want to display only the icon and value on my detail AND listings pages.

In effort to do this I did add:
    %%street%% %%br%% %%city%% %%region%% %%zip%%
to my address widget. It did not change the info I want, however, did correctly add an additional icon and value below it.

Finally, on the DETAILS page, how do I add a comma (or an extra space) between the city and state?

To control the label you will need to use GD Post Meta for each individual field, instead of GD Output Location

    For the address, …

    %%city%%, %%region%%

Thanks, that worked. Where do I find GD Post Meta? And how do I make adjustments? I did find Titles & Meta Settings and Post type page but not a clue on what to do (which I seem to think would be rather simple)

I need help!! I do not know how to do this and there seems to be NO help! I have attached GD Post Meta info I have found but NO information on how to do it. All I want to do is display only the icon and value on my Detail AND Listings pages. So this means, very simply, I need to remove the label. Please HELP! It can’t be that difficult to assist on this.

Yes, GD Post Meta is a design element. You would add that to the sidebar as a widget, set the key to the field you want to show, and then configure the options.

    Hi kerry,

Thanks for your reply. GD post meta can be generated using the shortcode builder https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/shortcode-builder/ or through the widget setting as shown in the attached screenshot. If you play around with it you’ll know how it works.

    Hi kerry,

I’ll try to configure the “Archive Item” for your reference.

    Hi,

V2 works differently and takes some getting used to because there are so many opportunities for personalizing it, like the ability you have to control whether the icon, icon and label, or just the value is shown in the sidebar without CSS. That was not possible in GDV1 without custom CSS and the features go much further than that. This is but one option for one of the 30+ design elements.

You can review the introduction here where you can find links to all the major new features and information about how they work and how to configure them:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/

On this page you can find a description of how the details page is normally setup:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/templates/details/

In your case, since you want to personalize it, using the GD Output Location element in the sidebar is not the best match.
For each field you will want to show only the icon, then it needs to be added with GD Post Meta.

I have added 2 as an example so you can see how it is done. See the screenshot below to know what to look for on the widget settings page:
WP Backend – Appearance – Widgets

The next step is to remove the display from GD Output Location. So, for example, if you are displaying the title with GD Output Location, then go to the Title Custom Field and visit the settings for the Title field
Places – Settings – Custom Fields – Titles – Show in extra output locations – Remove “Details page sidebar”

Add a new post meta widget for each item where you want to show the icon and value only.
