Is the “Divi Builder Plugin” from Elegant themes suppose to work with Supreme Theme because when I tried to use it/activate it, the site disappears. I just needed to make more creative “posts” and would love for Divi Builder plugin to work in this theme. I have Beaver Builder, the free version, but I already paid for Divi. I deactivated Beaver Builder and activated Divi and still same problem. Shouldn’t Divi work with this them?

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your post. An error “HTTP Error 500” is usually a server related issue. Could you try increasing your server PHP memory and see if it helps? If not, ask your hosting provider for error logs.

    Thanks!

    Alrighty, that fixed it.

No, if you don’t mind my asking, is it safe to use Divi Builder? It is working now. I started using Beaver Builder because somewhere in the forum it stated that Beaver was the only one they tested with Supreme.

Originally I wasn’t going to use Supreme, I was going to use an Elegant Theme. But, I was having problems getting the Elegant Theme to work with the GD plugins correctly. They may resolved this in the newer version of GD. But, since then I have grown fond of the Supreme Theme.

Last night I remember, Elegant Themes has a plugin for their Divi Module! So, that prompted me to try it. I’m more comfortable/familiar with Divi than I am with Beaver.

So, this would be sweet, to use the supreme theme and the Divi Builder for my posts and other pages. That almost be like the best of both worlds. So, I ask, do you think it is safe to go all into using Divi Builder plugin? I’m going to toy with it while I await your reply…

    1. is it safe to use Divi Builder?

We don’t provide support for 3rd party plugins. For questions about the plugin please contact the plugin author.

Geodirectory is a ‘relatively’ self-contained plugin and does not interact with other plugins or themes. GD Widgets run in widget areas, GD Pages are standalone templates.

Where a site manager wants to customize the style of listings, GD offers a wide variety of detailed CSS classes surrounding every element individually making it possible to target a whole listing or almost any individual element. This can be done with custom CSS, which falls outside what we can do here in the support forum.

For some reason the GD shortcode isn’t working entirely in the Divi builder on the homepage. It just falls apart, the listings are large no matter what and the mobile view does not show the featured image correctly at all. This is really odd because GD shortcode worked in Divi builder fine when I wasn’t using the Supreme theme. So, I guess I have to use Beaver Builder?

Your plugins, man, they’re great for someone that stays inside “your” box head Alex. But, they sure as hell fall apart when it comes to expecting an objective intuitive interface for the front end user and then they really fall apart even worse everywhere else (like when using with other popular themes and plugins. Since day one I’ve been trying to make them work ET’s Extra and Divi theme and now the Divi Builder with your Supreme Theme. What was the point of GeoTheme moving away from being a theme to a plugin if it wasn’t going to be a plugin that can work with other themes? So, I was forced into Supreme theme but now I can’t use your shortcodes in other plugins? Hell, the shortcode even looks like shit when the site goes down to mobile view independent of the Divi plugin.

I’m not asking you to support a 3rd party plugin. I’m asking you to support your plugin and shortcode and product because it is not working.

The Divi Builder is awesome for the Posts that make a wordpress blog pop and really nice. Divi is very popular. GD doesn’t do anything for posts. So, at least make it so we can use something for our posts while using GD without the two conflicting.

Man, you are killing me, this is a very serious project and you just constantly drag me through the mud. I can clearly point something out and you’ll just pop up uninvited and turn something clear into dirt just dragging it on for days. I have asked you to leave me alone so I can have others help me. You just make things worse almost every time. Please leave me alone and let me deal with someone else. Please, I beg of you! I’m so exhausted from you that it’s just destroying this dream and I can’t even fathom anymore how to move forward and resolve the most obvious, simple things with you.

Surely GD wants to work with Divi, let someone else respond to this thread and leave me alone. I’m not the only one having problems with you. Please leave me alone.

We would be happy to take a look at your settings to see if we can find the problem.

However, if the problem is that a builder is adding styles to the page, and in some way altering how a shortcode or widget appears, it makes sense to first contact the builder. Most builders supply some method for adding shortcodes to a page that reduces the interference of the builder itself. In some cases they have a ‘code’ widget that specifically leaves out the compounded markup of the builder.

I just went ahead and paid a hundred bucks for Beaver Builder. I guess I’ll have to do that annually now so I can use your theme and the ET Divi Builder I prefer to use is garbage for any GD projects.
