We have entered data for a basic business listing on our Directory, and we are trying to contact business users to advise that their free listing is there, so they can view it and can upgrade (claim) it if they want to. But the system is not letting us email the businesses – all emails we are testing come back to our own admin address even when we populate the email field as the clients address.
We are using the claims listing add on V2 of Geodirectory.
Please can someone help asap?
Many thanks
AnnieApril 30, 2019 at 5:55 pm #483760Hi,
all emails we are testing come back to our own admin address
come back with an error like an undeliverable email or something?
Or the admin is getting a copy of it? How do you know the business is not getting it? Did you test with a real client?
even when we populate the email field as the clients address.
If you don’t add an email address in the email field you can’t have a contact form.
If you share a link and admin credentials and the title of a listing you tested, we can look further into this.
Thank you
April 30, 2019 at 6:43 pm #483786Hi Paulo
The emails are not coming in with an error message, but just directing to the admin email address we have set up. We tested a ‘real’ client by putting in one of our own companies in the Directory listing with a genuine email address which is how we know the business is not getting it.We did populate the email field with the clients address in this example.
Here is the link to the ‘real’ client (Creative Door): https://theknaphillian.co.uk/places/creative-door/
admin email address is [email protected]
editor email address is [email protected]Thank you for looking into this further.

Please share WP AdminFor the GD Integration to work you will need to use the GD Ninja Form widget or shortcode, are you using that?

All GD elements are available through the Shortcode builder or as widgets.
Try adding the GD Ninja form widget to the sidebar used on your detail page. GD Ninja Forms it is called.

you need to finish the setup described here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/ninja-forms/
Once you setup the form, then add the GD Ninja Forms widget to the sidebar and set the form you created.

Just FYI, you can export your listings, edit them in bulk in the CSV file and update the listings by importing them back using the option: Update listing if post ID already exists.
Thanks
