    Hi,
I am trying to create a post using my event listings. I have followed the instructions, but it doesn’t seem to be displaying as it should.

    The preview page is https://playinginpuddles.com.au/?p=2860&preview=true

    The code I’ve installed is this: [gd_event_listing category=387 post_number=all list_sort=upcoming list_filter=upcoming character_count=2000 listing_width=100 title=Christmas-Events]

I’d like all of my Christmas events to be featuring once on the post, i.e. the Hunter Valley Gardens event is held every day from now til the end of January, but I’d like it to only appear once.

A few things seem to not be working as I’d like them to. Can you please help me set them right? I’d like:
    1) All of my “Christmas events” to be shown (each unique event to be shown just once). At the moment only The Hunter Valley Gardens event is showing.
    2) I would like all of the description and any other info to be shown. At the moment it doesn’t seem to allow me to extend the text further no matter how many characters I allow.
    3) How do I make a title with more than one word? I would like the title to read “Christmas Events”, but it doesn’t allow the 2 words unless it’s hyphenated.
    4) I would like each event to display each date it runs for. e.g. At the moment the hunter valley gardens event says it’s only on 21st November even though this is a recurring event that will occur daily until late January.

    Thank you,
    Katie

    Hello!

There are several issues here. I will answer and our team will followup until you have the information you need. The link you posted isn’t visible at the time I checked.

1# The shortcode you shared should show all events with categoryID 387. Share the page URL and WP credentials so we can follow up and take a look.

2# We can take a look at this too. The shortcode shows text from the extract, so, you will also need to change your event listing extract length.

3# That might be adjusted with CSS. Need the URL to check further.

4# You might want to use a different category for the recurring events, if you still want to show them m on each day, and then categorize the ‘festival’ with the categoryID 387 with dates that span multiple days, so there is just one listing for the festival.

Hmmm, i don’t think that’s really going to work for me. Seems like more work. Back to the old cut n paste I think to make it clearer for readers.
Perhaps this could be introduced as a new update at some stage – it would be a good inclusion.
    Thanks for your help, Alex.
