    Hello team,

I have a website for events and want to upgrade it with a new theme that allow me to add in events, organizers and locations (places). By reading a few of the posts here, I undersand it is possible to:
    – link events with organizers
    – link events with locations
    – have events and locations added by third party users (organizers).

Please kindly let me know if it possible to have the following solution for the website: a third-party theme with all the geodir add-ons. Is this possible?

Is it also possible to add different plugins for ticketing (woocommerce probably) and adverts/ banners?

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

    Hi,

    Yes that is possible.

Users (Organizers) will be able to enter Places, events and while entering events link them to places.

GeoDirectory has been built to be adaptable to any theme. Not all will work out of the box though, some will need some tweaks. Which theme did you have in mind? It would be better to select one that comes compatible out of the box.

For ticketing you can probably add other systems, however there will be no integration with GD.

Also if you plan on using 2 complex application plugins like WooCommerce and GeoDIrectory on the same server, make sure it is a powerful one.

    Thanks

    Dear Paulo,

Thans alot for your fast and prompt reply.

Could you please let me know if I can link events with organisers? That would be more essential than linking events to places.

Regarding the themes, I have nothing in mind yet – mainly I am looking for a theme with visual composer&sliders on the main page, as well as list of last articles. If there is a list of themes which are compatible with the geodir add-ons, could you please let me have the name?

For ticketing, what are you meaning by ”there will be no integration with GD”? Sorry for asking for additional information, English is not my main language, and also I am not an IT person.

One last question – can I also add a blog section? I assume that is up to the theme I am using…

    Thanks,
    Florina

    Hi,

if you have the claim listing add-on installed you can show the listing author, so yes.

Many users have been using Kleo with success lately, otherwise Divi or Genesis or Enfold are all excellent themes.

Obviously our own theme are problably the best choice for the Directory part.

There will be no integration means that GeoDirectory and the Ticketing system will work as two separate entities. Users will have to create the Tickets 1st via woocommerce and than provide a link to purchase them when creating the event.

Yes blog is a WordPress standard.

    Thanks
