We keep having expired listings that say they expired on the backend, but still show completely normally when you visit the url. Here is an example of an “expired” listing: https://county10.com/places/plains-tire-auto/
I’m not sure what an “Expired” listing should look like, but I feel like it shouldn’t be exactly like what a paid listing is.

There also seems to be no clear way for a user to cancel their subscription, or renew their subscription if they cancelled in the past. They can delete the listing, but that doesn’t really make it clear that they are cancelling.

    Hi Will,

Thanks for your post. You can configure the Expired Listing Status here and here is the section of the documentation for your reference https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/pricing-manager/#settings .

I have configured those settings and tried it both as a draft or as expired, and neither seems to affect the post at all. I’ve also run the “check expired” tool several times. We seem to just have several listings that don’t care what the expiration settings are.

    Hi there,

    thanks for providing the credentials.

How did the listings get added?
    Are they recurring?
Can you share some example listing URLs, so we can check the settings?

    More info about recurring packages:

Packages that are recurring only change status or downgrade based on a response from the gateway, as all recurring packages are linked to a gateway subscription.

Recurring packages will only function properly when added through the frontend add listing form, a payment through a gateway, and then the listing will be setup to downgrade properly with the settings available at the time the package was enabled with the completion of the payment.

You can search through our forum for similar topics to read more about this, especially within the Pricing Manager forum.

That actually explains a lot. For recurring packages, is there a way to make the language clearer for things “cancel” instead of “delete”? And is there a way to make a “renew” button for listing that have expired?

GD Author Actions can show or hide the delete link.

    [gd_author_actions hide_delete="1"]

Listings that are expired will show a “Renew” link, also displayed with GD Author Actions.

To test that, the renew link, make sure you have a non-recurring package.

Set a listing into that package with an expire date in the future, and save the listing.

Then, set the expire date into the past, and run the GD Listing Expire Check

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/status/#tools

In the backend you should see the post status as Expired, and then a renew link on the frontend.

Make sure you have GD Author Actions on the GD Details page. Most folks add it with a widget in the sidebar.
