Hi has there been any plans to progress being able to export data out of GD. If not is there an alternative method. I would like to be able to take the listings data and export it into a more familiar programme such as eXcel or access for a client.

You should be able to export the geodir_gd_place_detail table to a CSV or Excel file using phpMyAdmin.

Thanks – this was the table I was looking for. It wasn’t in the first place I looked which was the website name and tables within that (which was blank)

Hi – is there a way that allows multiselect custom fields to be given a different heading on export. At the moment they are all included in the one column in excel.

Every different custom field should have its own column, I thought.
I guess you mean whether the different selections in the one multiselect custom field can be separated into different columns?

Let’s ask Paolo, he might know.

That’s how it should be… Multiselect is an array of values all in the same field.

Yeah it was wondering if there was a way to separate the different selections within one field rather than having them in the one column.

Hi I have now resolved this. Unless there is a better way i will just use excel and the delimit feature to separate the fields. This allows me to have info in separate columns which is helpful for what I need to do.

No, that is not feasilbe without writing an adhoc script to export the database, that would be cable of also separating that data.

    Thx
